  1. That sucks. Hang in there. Posted from the NEW Baseops.net App!
  2. My orders were complete 4 days after finishing the pre-separation worksheet. I couldn't believe it. Posted from the NEW Baseops.net App!
  3. I'm taking some PTDY with palace chase and have had no issues. 36-3003 table 7 pretty clearly says you get it. Posted from the NEW Baseops.net App!
  4. +1 to that. I'm getting stuff together for terminal in July and am already as worthless as tits on a bull.
  5. I think he's trying to say congrats on VSP, but for some reason it came out with a hint of douchebag. Posted from the NEW Baseops.net App!
  6. Dude, maybe you should stay. The FY PC apps don't leave AFPC, but the traditional PC apps still go to SAF.
  7. I'm not 100% sure mine even went to the functional. If it did, it was routed internally. Cms only showed my app going to the PC office one time and it was approved. Posted from the NEW Baseops.net App!
  8. I'm out of the office until Wed, but the number shows up in CMS....that's how I got it. I got the voicemail several times before someone actually answered the phone. Also, there's only a few people in that office that work officer PC, and your ISR should know their names. They should definitely have the number to the office. If she doesn't, that's equivalent to an AMC guy not knowing the number to TACC. No word on the length of ADSC waiver. He mentioned the SECAF delegation to waive 6 years or whatever the publicly released # was.
  9. It was about 6 weeks total processing time after submission, but only a couple weeks at AFPC. It also took two weeks to get my position number and application material together. If you applied for traditional PC, I'd recommend changing it to FY 14 PC if you have a position number from your guard unit. You can change the application without withdrawing it in CMS by calling/emailing the PC office (or have your cc call). You'll have to attach a SOU, and your ISR can follow up after it's been submitted. The PC office is busy, but if you've got the position number and you meet the ADSC waiver criteria (23 mos UPT for me) they can take care of it pretty quickly. For the VSP program to be such a clusterf*ck, this was relatively painless. Then again, I pester the sh*t out of people until they do what I want.
  10. PC approved!! I applied under traditional PC March 12th and switched to FY 14 PC on April 2nd after the UPT ADSC waiver authority was delegated. After talking to the guy in the PC office, it sounds like a pretty painless approval process if you have a position number. Good luck! 2005 11M - C-21/KC-135 ADSC through 10 Aug 2016
  11. I miss you.... http://youtu.be/V1PqslRMWaE
  12. Vpr/Hick - I got in CMS today and saw it at the PC office for the first time. The status you and I see does not change, but someone with full CMS access can see it as it works through the wickets. I got a number to the PC office, but the voicemail (surprise) says they won't even do status checks until it's been with AFPC for a month. I understand backlogs, and I understand people are working hard, but I just can't get past how COMPLETELY F*CKING UNACCEPTABLE it would be if I were handling my job this poorly with no solution to fix it. And, FWIW, I set the bar pretty low.
  13. My CC had mentioned withdrawing the PC app and applying for VSP, but I'm going to pass considering how poorly this thing has been managed. With the changing criteria, unexplained delays, and no justification for denials it's hard to have faith in the process. I'd rather walk away from the alleged cash than miss the boat and get hit with a 365.
  14. I'll ask our exec about it tomorrow. After 20 mins on hold, the TFSC says cms is down tonight. A name and phone number would be phenomenal in this process. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  15. I'm at Referred to AFPC Palace Chase Separations (DPSOR) in CMS. I'm not sure if it's made it through the functional yet. The TFSC said that routing was internal, so not sure if I'd be able to see it. My app went to the wrong inbox at the wing and sat for 18 days, so I've got that going for me.
  16. Has anyone applying for traditional PC called to check processing times recently? I called last week to check my app after seeing HickPilot's quick turn time and the SUPER motivated lady at the TFSC said they'd been briefed to expect 10-20 WEEKS from arrival at AFPC. That's obviously an incomprehensible delay that would eat into most applicants' terminal leave. Hickpilot, do you have a number for someone at AFPC?
  17. ^^ Did you submit it in 2006? Because that's when I would have expected the phrase "checking my Blackberry" to apply. Sorry man, I kid.
  18. ^^We both know you were just looking for an excuse.... FWIW, my PC application has been sitting in the wrong CMS inbox at the Wing for 15 days awaiting signature. When they finally figured it out yesterday, everyone was out of the office for "Wingman Day"....at a fun run, hosting a circle-j*rk, or whatever it is that you do at such things. I was going to go on a throat- punching rampage, but I remembered we have morale shirts and mustaches, so everything must be ok. So I came home, kicked the dog, and yelled at my wife. Good times.
  19. I'll pick 'em up when I swing by to wave my pecker at 'em through the window. BTW, anyone know what floor Retirements and Separations is on? I need to know if I'll have to rent a cherry picker. I'll go in halfsies on the cherry picker. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk It says I will be a "force management advisor". Wtf is that? Anyway enough of the derail. Sorry dudes, just venting. If you dont mind me asking, what's your afsc/year group? Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  20. VSP or 365, how are you applying for more than one program at once? I was only able to apply for one at a time in MyPers.
  21. I applied for regular PC today. Spoke to TFSC to make sure it was sent to the right Wg/CC and they mentioned they had 600 apps at the AFPC/PC office. They also had no update on when the Farce Management programs would get rolling again. I'm requesting a waiver of 23 months of UPT commitment and about a year off of GI Bill/IP school ADSCs.
  22. If any of this is based is fact, you win for best first post. I'm pretty sure mine was a cat poster.
  23. I'm at a Guard base and we're getting zero info from leadership, but the TFSC said this afternoon that there has been no change to UPT ADSC waiver guidance. Also, the JQP facebook is for everyone, not just 11Ms. I hate to jump the gun and walk away from the cash by applying for PC, but I'm starting to feel like big blue isn't going to pay us to walk when we've shown we'll do it for free. My 365 isn't being put on hold while the AF gets their shit in one sock.
  24. You'd think so, but I think that's going to be an obstacle for some people. As I understand it, under the FY14 PC program, you've got to have the gaining unit information completed before you submit. Regular PC doesn't require it until well after you submit. I'm at a TFI, staying with the host guard unit, and still running into hiccups from the recruiting folks on attaching the position number to the PC form before it's signed off by the losing Wg/CC (not at my base). It's a new wrinkle that will hopefully iron itself out next week, but I'd hate to be dealing with a unit that doesn't really know me in another state. If that line of thinking holds, it gives power to the losing Wg/CC, who has no say in the matter under the regular PC program. Hopefully, it won't. I'm not smart, and certainly not smart on ANG stuff, but it seems like we're basing the FY PC program on the assumption that ANG units will just hand out position numbers on their manning documents to these active duty guys without knowing if they'll actually be approved to separate or not. All it's going to take is for a few units to "hire" guys who don't get PC approved and miss out on the off-the-street hires & other PC'ing folks that they have to turn down because they're out of "positions" before the PC program starts to stink as bad as VSP. This post is heavy on opinion, so call me out if you think it's off base. I'm talking out of my a**, but I think the gaining unit information was added as a requirement to the FY program because A1/AFPC is requesting delegation of the ADSC waiver authority from SAF, who normally processes PC apps. This way they know the folks they're letting out are walking into a job somewhere. I think that as an unintended consequence, they've created a catch 22.
  25. I don't disagree at all, just parroting what I was told. They did say that people with less than 4 years of UPT ADSC remaining are being approved right now through the "regular" PC program. I don't really care which set of wickets my application travels through as long as it's approved.
