  1. Because they offered a fixed wing slot to my buddy that got rotary, they are back filling the slot with people who put rotary #1
  2. Congratulations I’m so happy for you. I contacted the board earlier in the week actually I believe it was last week to try and advocate for a buddy of mine who was picked up and got helicopters and I wanted to see if there was any possibility to see if we can get him switched over to a fixed wing slot, considering the shortage, but I got told was that the program manager is currently trying to advocate for more people from the UFT list to be considered to help try and fill some of the slots. My body was notified three days ago that he was swapped from helicopters over to fixed wing and the fact that you just got notified sounds like they’re starting to look more at the UFT list
  3. So I’m currently driving to Columbus to drop off two of my vehicles about a week ahead of my PCS. But the information that I can pass along is that once your dates get loaded anybody in your CSS shop should be able to look at your MILPDS records and see what training you’re loaded for additionally, if you don’t know what base you got you can do the EFMP hack on VMPF essentially what you do is you start a new application and you go all the way to the end make sure you don’t hit submit and you will see your projected assignment and then once you see that just go ahead and remove your EFMP application. Lastly, from what my experience was, you’re gonna get an email from the transition flight at whatever base you’re going to to let you know that you’ve been scheduled for IPT and it will have the location on it. I know there are locations in Orlando Pensacola Atlanta, Denton, Texas, and San Marcos Texas. I don’t know if they’re still using the ones out in Arizona. Sorry for any typos I’m currently driving and using Siri
  4. What job did you get selected for? That’s your training dates. Go to your utm and they can look up the code in MILPDS
  5. I’ve heard of this happening a few years ago.
  6. Hey everyone, please take what I’m about to say with the smallest piece of a grain of salt. I have a buddy who got picked up for officer training school and is there right now and graduates in a few weeks. When he got picked up, he got selected for RPA even though his number one was manned Pilot. He sent me a message this morning and said that he was just offered a Pilot slot and he took it in ots. I’ve heard of something happening like this before a few years ago, but it was super rare. I asked him how this happened and that I was super happy for him and he said that him and nine other people were pulled into a room with the commandant and the commandant informed them that the Air Force needs 150 more pilots and that he’s giving them the opportunity to switch from the job that they currently have to Pilot. With that being said, I don’t know that it would affect any alternates that may have been selected for this board, but if the Air Force exhausts all of its pipelines for training that could be an opportunity for more people to get picked up if they were an alternate and that’s just my assumption. This is not based on anything official.
  7. You’ll probably be in IPT with me in June. If you go to your UTM they can pull up any training you’re scheduled for and if it 15 June then you’ll be going to GA at the peachtree location
  8. Yeah I have a buddy who is there and was able to find out my location and I also got an email from the transition flight Lt that’s working there with in processing stuff and confirmation of dates. Also asking me to confirm when I would arrive to Columbus
  9. I have a buddy who was able to find out my IPT location and it’s in PeachTree city near Atlanta Georgia!
  10. I do know there are some people that didn’t volunteer for enjjpt that were pretty competitive. So I don’t think that has much weight. Also the Enjjpt pipeline is backed up as well. I know a few people there that waited over a year to start.
  11. Yeah it was my first choice. I think it also helped that the board knows my wife will be starting med school close to Columbus in sept so they prioritized getting me Columbus.
  12. No. I haven’t gotten a RIP yet but I checked my CDB and saw dates under projected training and a course code. I went to my UTMs to see if they could look up course code and they looked at my MilPDS and saw all my IPT and UPT dates and my front office saw I populated on the loss roster with a RNLTD of 13 April.
  13. Got my dates. Start IPT in June and UPT in November at Columbus
