All the drops are out of the T-6. The 5 T-38s are Phase 3 T-38Cs. Heavies are now T-6 direct to FTU with no more T-1.

with T-6 direct FTU now for heavies their track select is integrated into their drop night I imagine the -38 folks will get another drop night for their actual airframes

Does anyone know if the writer of the recommendation letter matters as much as the content? I got a buddy who is applying this year and said he wants to get the O-5 Sq/CC to write him a letter vs the O-6 Wg/CC who he had write a letter last year where he didn't get selected for pilot. Buddy works closely with Sq/CC so the letter would be more personal than the O-6. Wanted to give him some advice but not sure if an O-5 letter would have enough weight especially when other applicants are getting O-6 and above letters for their packages.

Do you have a source for this? I'm just curious as to how they are picking which classes to send people to cause the spread of June/July starters and Oct/Nov starters just in this thread doesn't really make sense to me, especially since they said they would be prioritizing people who are closer to the age limit

Just got a training RIP for IFT (not IPT), which is funny cause I already have my PPL. Anyone else get the same thing? I'm assuming that means that I'll be going through the legacy T-6 syllabus at Vance or Laughlin though, which I'm happy about! Yeah I see my MFS date populated in my CDB so I was hoping I could see my UPT class date somewhere easily accessible as well without having to wait the 2 business days or whatever it is for my SURF to update.

Since Columbus is already doing IPT would switching Laughlin and Vance over to the new IPT syllabus require that much overhead? I'm not sure how backed up or not IPT currently is but I wonder if they will add new locations for IPT to absorb the load a bit. I personally put Vance as my #1 UPT base and I'm hoping I get Vance and a class start date before they switch over cause I really would rather do the legacy T-6 syllabus vs the new IPT syllabus.
