All the drops are out of the T-6. The 5 T-38s are Phase 3 T-38Cs. Heavies are now T-6 direct to FTU with no more T-1.
-
At Vance waiting for UPT instead of IPT but we've just been doing inprocessing stuff mostly. The rest of the time you can do whatever but moving in also takes a large chunk of time
-
with T-6 direct FTU now for heavies their track select is integrated into their drop night I imagine the -38 folks will get another drop night for their actual airframes

Thanks for the advice! My buddy has pretty good AFOQT Pilot/PCSM scores plus RPP and got selected for ABM in the '25 board so hopefully a good rec letter will improve his chances for this upcoming board.
-
They are both flyers, although the O-5 is an EWO not a pilot. O-6 is a fighter/RPA guy.
-
Does anyone know if the writer of the recommendation letter matters as much as the content? I got a buddy who is applying this year and said he wants to get the O-5 Sq/CC to write him a letter vs the O-6 Wg/CC who he had write a letter last year where he didn't get selected for pilot. Buddy works closely with Sq/CC so the letter would be more personal than the O-6. Wanted to give him some advice but not sure if an O-5 letter would have enough weight especially when other applicants are getting O-6 and above letters for their packages.

What base? I'll be at Vance and my class dates are 4 Jun - 29 Jan
-
Do you have a source for this? I'm just curious as to how they are picking which classes to send people to cause the spread of June/July starters and Oct/Nov starters just in this thread doesn't really make sense to me, especially since they said they would be prioritizing people who are closer to the age limit
-
Yeah I emailed AFPC about it and they said it was wrong and that they cancelled it. Still dunno why it happened in the first place, lol

Just got an email from AFPC: VANCE RNLTD: 12 May 2025 UPT: CSD 4 Jun 25; CGD 29 Jan 26 A lot earlier than expected, but can't complain! Looking forward to seeing some of you folks at Vance!
