2026 ACTIVE DUTY UFT BOARD
Your math checks. Crosschecked last year's PSDM for FY25 wirh 26 and it was to expect assignments as early as March last year and this year's states February. This tracks given our board was a month and a half earlier in the year. Just frustrating we got notified of selection relatively early with official release in the first week of Nov vs mid Nov as the stated tentative release. Now we're past 60 days potentially not getting assignments until 90 days. Passed my last checkride in the 9 yesterday so sitting with my hand hovering over the brain dump button awaiting an assignment.

Well hopefully the ball gets rolling soon. I graduated OTS a week before Christmas and MFS for all the RPA and conventional pilots was a tdy enroute before PCSing. Hopefully folks can get it knocked out before the holidays. We all got stuck in the OTS dorms for a month until wright patt opened back up in January.

Got the call this morning UPT select! Nuked at the sq last year and first time making the board this year. 99P/99PCSM 50 hours neg PPL (checked last week so guess one less checkride at IPT). 3/3 in the sq unknown at Wg Let Rec O4 deployment sq cc. We went 3/3 in my sq all as 1 Lt/Capt (s) with maxed scores. Seems scores may have held more weight this year cuz I definitely felt weak in whole Airman.

Did some number crunching today because what else do I have to do for two months? The number of Lt pilot selects doubled from FY23 to FY24 (11-22) then again from FY24 to FY25 (22-46). Total pilots were 70 70 and 100. Lts got 24 of the additional 30 slots while captains only went up by 3 in FY25 (48-51). Also all the CSO selects were Lts. Seems like a trend towards selection of more Lts and perhaps more slots allocated to the younger year groups. I want to say years ago the reg was the 5 years TFCS instead of 8 so perhaps 3-6 years is a sweet spot for "potential" when they score.

Well after hearing nothing for a month I decided to go direct with AFPC regarding my package and looks like it's FIGHT'S ON! On a side note, I'm curious what, if anything, happens with strats in regards to packages that won't make it to the board? Two of the guys in my sq had ETPs one got approved and the other denied after the August deadline, so both their packages were stratted and submitted. In my case, I don't think 4/4 to 3/3 in the sq helps much, but there's a good chance the denied ETP was top 3 at the wg which pushes most if not all people down. Rumorint is you get extra points on your package for the #1 strat (the last guy to get selected from my sq was #1 at the wg), hypothetically if that person has their package pulled is that wg SOL on a #1 or does AFPC amend the strats to reflect those meeting the board?

Ill say for my sq we were/are the last lr squadron until we stand down and remission in 6 months. As for the bar, we had 6-7 push a package and 4 made it through. Myself and two other Lts with a deployment each and pilot/pcsm 99/99, 99/99, 99/98 then a seasoned captain: great scores, prior exec, shop chief, evaluator. At my sq it's tough to be shit hot whole Airman concept when every officer in the sq is an RPA Pilot and you arent making instructor as an Lt so you had to fire wall the numbers on the 215.
