Usually if you are a late to rate guy/ girl or Captain and above you don’t have to stay on base. Most training pipelines have their in processing guides readily available online as well. Assignments start being worked by AFPC after public release.

Don’t know how true it is but what I heard previously only the number 1 gets “bonus” points from the board. You can be number 2 and the number 3 can get rated higher if the board values the other components of their package more than yours.

Welcome to the board man. @Elijah so I’m not the only one who heard the 40 news! My fingers are still crossed. Our wing told us the number in the sense of tempering expectations for the board since we had a lot of applications. Basically don’t forget to figure out plan B and C. So here’s to waiting some more lol

Unfortunately no. They same source who told me there were 40 slots told me the board was able to find more. But everything is speculation until we get official word. Welcome to the forum. I was a long time lurker before I became a member to post.

I think it’s nerve racking no matter where you are on the spectrum Lol. They say they look at the whole airmen. So hoping that’s true.

WE are definitely getting it this year lol. It’s my first time applying too. I’d be in the same boat next year. But I’d still apply!
