I've heard rumors they've lengthened IFT for UPT selects. Not sure if it's true or not.

Capt XXXXX— The folks at USAFSAM indicated that you were good to go and would not need to attend MFS. If you attended MFS prior to URT at either USAFA or WPAFB, you do not need to attend again. Our schedulers are working on IFT and UPT dates this week and next week so you should see those training RIPs come down soon. v/r, AFPC/DP2OR Workflow Looks like I won't need to go to MFS.

Yeahhh they probably won't let you guys go. It's a waste of their money since you guys have your PPL.

Was your LOA from your squadron or is there one from Wright Patt that you use? Also kind of weird that they canxd it.

It's all the same exams. You do everything that was posted in the link. Takes a full day but it's not terrible. I think I was mostly just hungry since I didn't bring lunch and didn't have breakfast last time I went.

Did everyone have a FCI physical exam with a HQ AETC/SG certification stamp that states "pending successful completion of MFS"? Mine doesn't say that so I wonder if I have to go. I thought I did since I didn't do my FCI at Wright Patt but since my 2808 doesn't say that, I'm not sure. I also don't have anything in m CDB.

Knew two people with pilot slots lose them at MFS. One due to bad eye sight the other due to a condition he had no idea he had. 20/15 vision too. Both went RPA instead. MFS is always going to make me nervous but I still don't have any dates for it.

I don't have an MFS date yet (knock on wood lol) but my FCI also didn't say anything about being approved pending MFS. I hope I don't have to go but I probably will since the flight doc mentioned it when I was getting a waiver for my eyes being weird (not vision related).

Oh jeez. I just realized I'm already tdy until March. I hope they don't try to send me to MFS next month.

No, you'll tdy from your current base. I think it actually says that in the PSDM release. But when I went to IFT, the people who cross flowed from other career fields took a tdy from the base they were at before their PCS.

Which bases did you guys put as your preference for UPT? And are CSOs not going to IFT anymore?

Weird part about the strats is that I was 5/6 for my wing and got picked up. I actually think most of the guys at my wing did get picked up which is a little strange but awesome. I'm guessing the board really liked my LoR and personal letter. Side note, I'm still sad about Randolph not being an option anymore but oh well.

My 64 pilot score can definitely confirm it's not all numbers.

Can confirm. My IP friend said they stopped it at Randolph because it was backing up PIT.

Thanks! Just wanted to confirm. I have some T-6 IP friends at all the UPT bases except Randolph so I didn't know if they were still doing it or if they moved it to being strictly at the normal UPT bases.

Anyone know if UPT 2.5 is still at Randolph?

Vision isn't bad. It's pretty much the same as anywhere else except they also use a machine to take pictures of your eyes. They specifically look at your retina, optic nerve, and cornea I believe.

It was fine. Just a lot of waiting and medical exams. I went in the winter so it was a snowy and cold. I already have two waivers approved pending completion of MFS. One for having weird eyes and one for childhood asthma which wasn't asthma.

Sounds like we'll have to wait for the PSDM to get the true numbers. MFS wasn't terribly fun. I'm really not looking forward to going back.
