  2. Can I get your thoughts on the potential of being a CSO in the new Armed Overwatch airframe? Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
  3. None for me either. On to the next my guy! Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
  4. 117th has sent out interview invites. Middle of last week I think. Sent from my iPad using Baseops Network mobile app
  5. Are you saying that even guard guys can end up on a platform other than the one they were selected for? Sent from my iPad using Baseops Network mobile app
  6. My wife will be attending UPT with me if I get picked up. In that case would you recommend living off base still? Sent from my iPad using Baseops Network mobile app
  7. Couple of things to note (sorry I’m late to the thread). I’m also 25 years old. I just graduated college (much lower GPA in a “fluffy” degree), my PPL should be finished in the spring. The first thing I’d like to mention is your desire to go into Federal law enforcement. I’ve been a police officer for almost five years and am friends with several who have gone on to state and federal LEO jobs. I will caution you, most I know of said it wasn’t what they thought it would be. Second, what podcast did you find? I’d like to tune in. Good luck! Sent from my iPad using Baseops Network mobile app
  8. Funny you mention that. We currently live just outside of Nashville. She's a student at a school down there. Knoxville is on my list of units to put in for. Can you tell me more about the job market you mentioned out there?
  9. I’d have to let my wife answer that one, she’d be the one making the drive. Likely we’ll end up finding a house somewhere between the Guard base and the hospital. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
  10. Just about everywhere available except some California units and units in the northeast. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
  11. Thanks for the reply. I supposed I shouldn't say rural. But many ANG units are located 45 minutes to an hour outside of major metro areas. The commute isn't ideal but it is doable!
  12. Women's Health NP. She obviously wouldn't mind a civilian practice; however, many of these guard units are rural and don't have a hospital nearby. Plus the convenience of working in the same area, cuts down on drive time, etc.
  13. I'm applying to several Guard units in hopes of flying. My wife is about 1.5 years from graduating as a Nurse Practitioner. Some of the Guard units I'm applying to are not close to major hospitals. Do Mil hospitals employee civilians (specifically Nurse Practitioners)? I've used to search feature for this topic, but I couldn't come up with anything.
  14. Makes sense. Thanks for the reply, and congrats to you.
  15. Can I ask why the long break in time between your AFOQT/TBAS and your board? Multiple applications? Or did you just wait for a particular unit? I'm 25, taking my AFOQT and TBAS after I graduate this October.
