  1. You can take this for what it worth. My Sq/CC said today that he emailed the head of separations at AFPC last week inquiring about VSP notifications. What he was told, via email, was that they were taking the rest of last week to clear the queue whatever that means. He also said they stated that VSP notifications would start rolling out at the beginning of this week. Seeing as how it was Wednesday he fired off another email today to get an update because in his words “Wednesday is not the beginning of the week”. He said he had received a reply stating that they had gotten through the queue and that VSP approvals would start being sent out tomorrow and they would continue through this weekend. Disapprovals would start being sent out at the beginning of next week. Take it with a grain of salt, but my CC is a pretty straight shooter and I doubt he would potentially put this out there if he thought he was being fed a line of BS.
  2. Maybe I’m overthinking this and perhaps I’m applying too much common sense but hear me out. The “pulse” messages started April 8. They reported numbers for both O and E approvals. O’s at 167 and E’s at 2,471. As the weeks rolled on the O numbers slightly increase to 380 while the E’s haven’t moved. They now report 2,400 E’s because I suspect they want to use round numbers. That number has remained constant since the first “pulse” message. This is despite weekly messages that they are continuing to processing remaining eligibles. Now, I get that processing and approving are separate things, but why play word games with this. To me this look like they have reached another “strategic pause” even though they don’t want to call it that because of the backlash the last one caused. Now to the rub. The E’s have the QFRB going on right now. Supposedly from May 5-25th? I don’t expect to hear anything on E VSP’s until after that. My first thought is that it makes sense. Kick out the guys you don’t want first before letting the guys you do want. If this is the case then AFPC screwed up yet another portion of the FM. If I’m right, then they should have made that clear at the beginning. Poor planning is an understatement with this shit show.
  3. The local news is already criticizing the emergency crews. They have the first fire truck showing at the scene 3 1/2 minutes after the crash
  4. It should be the classes that you have the ADSC for. As I understand it your ADSC goes off of the class end date. So if you took classes 4 years ago and already fulfilled the commitment then there should be no need for them to collect any TA that was paid.
