  1. Still no dice for TERA. Any O-5/11X 15-19yr approved out there? Congrats to the folks who got approved today.
  2. This is baffling to me. Increased approvals today, but haven't heard of a single 11X'r approved in the 15-19yr group. At this point I just want to clap for an 11X approval. Come on AFPC, open the gates!
  3. *Altus Barbosa Feel free to settle with mediocrity but I won't. You bet I've called TFSC, many times, trying to find answers to specific questions about my records in order to build reasonable expectations-yes I expected them to do their job and yes I completely ignore the robot message that tells me not to call, every time. I've even made an effort to share what little information I 've gathered (gasp) with others on this forum. I'm sorry you feel like the poor souls that answer the phones are being mistreated by me. My subordinates expect better than mediocrity from me and I expect the same out of others that are processing the next step in my life. You are correct the TFSC doesn't know much and therein lies the problem-they should. I was patient a month ago, I'm no longer patient. Do you really think if the masses are silent, the process will get any better? Here's hoping for better news next week.
  4. Gents- I have serious doubts HAF and AFPC will be able to play catch-up, next week for the TERA deadline of 1 Apr. Once again, it's not that amendments are being made, behind the scenes, it's still the blatant lack of comms, from AFPC in particular. I'm convinced now AFPC is a blind bureaucracy, operating in a vacuum, separate from the rest of Big Blue. I've called TFSC at least 10 times, trying to pull a reasonable level of data about my TERA package and I've gotten blatant apathy and flat out incompetent lack of information from these folks. I'm blown away that an organization, like AFPC, thinks its OK to leave it's service members, in the dark. Communication, even at basic level, revealing reasonable expectations would cover a multitude of sins. HAF/A1 & AFPC-If you're listening, you can't leave your service members, in the dark, with only the Air Force Times and Forums to make sense of the rest of their lives, it breeds contempt. I don't expect perfection, I expect communication and I'm tired of waiting in the dark. With every moment that passes, I can't wait to take my skills elsewhere, where I won't be treated like I'm sitting at the kiddie table.
  5. On a positive note, my 1405 date was updated today on my CDB. First positive movement I've seen since 7 Mar. Still wondering who the "500" newly ineligibles are?? Once again, speak up HAF/AFPC and give some specifics.
  6. On TERA: A personnelist appears to be posting on the "Air Force Retirements 2014" Facebook page. She says (on your CDB/Vmpf) if your RNLTD (under restrictions) changes to 1 Aug 2014 and your DOS is 31Jul 2014, go to MPF and ask them to check your milpds records. If your status is "20", then you've been approved for retirement. Apparently it takes a while (sometimes a few days) for info in milpds to "flip" to Vmpf (CDB) and completely update. Again, I take this with a grain, however, she did have some legit and informative posts, so I'm inclined to believe on this one. HAF/AFPC: Yet another week, living in the dark. You are eroding every last bit of loyalty in your overworked Force. Please speak up soon.
  7. ^^ Well said Fiver on the lack of communication from HAF & AFPC. The deafening silence is what angers me most. I wonder how much productivity we've lost at work while we all stare at the wall, contemplate our futures and check Vmpf & mypers every five minutes. On another note, folks with positive TERA movement seem to be noticing they're 1405 dates are changing, on their CDB (Vmpf) page. 1405 Date Explanation: the date used to determine the multiplier for figuring a member's retired pay. The 1405 is usually computed upon retirement. HQ AFPC is responsible for computing and updating the 1405 date into the Personnel Data System. (summarized)
  8. Gator2- I'm 99/11R, No ADSCs. C17- I spoke with the Retirements/Separations office. Keep in mind, I've had very little luck getting useful info from the AFPC customer service folks. It mostly soothes my need for an update which AFPC seems to consistently drop the ball on. Simply keeping me updated, would cover a multitude of sins.
  9. On Fri/7th, my TERA status changed to "FM-Validation Complete." Called the AFPC hotline and the guy said my app has been checked and rechecked and is in the approve pile (I'm not holding my breath). He went on further to say that now AFPC is waiting on guidance from HAF on how many to actually let go. I take all this with a grain of salt, considering the folks answering the phone at AFPC (hotline) are typically less than informed. I've found I usually know more about the content of the PSDMs than they do. Here's hoping for movement soon! All-pls continue posting your VSP and TERA status changes/movement. If AFPC won't keep us informed, let's keep each other informed.
