A colleague of mine just finished talking with AFPC about some FM issues, and was notified that Air Staff hasn't given the go ahead for AFPC to start the batch processing of the VSP applications.

Talked with AFPC and was told 130 and 131 were not to be released and they are being revised. The new timeframe for release is to be in a week with offical application windows for VSP to start shortly there after. AFPC also stated the snowflake on the time chart for VSP was moved from Dec to Jan. I guess they are waiting for a number breakdown per AFSC instead of the blue/red matrix that has been released.

Separation date has to be NLT 29 Sept 2014. Requests for VSP can begin on 14 Jan 2014 and run till 2359 on 1 May 14 like FUSEPLUG explained.

Attachment 10 para 3 of PSDM 13-130 says applicants approved for VSP will have a separation date NLT 29 Sept 14. Sounds like you can apply for VSP with a DOS before Sept if you are concerned with taxes.
