  1. Happy to report that I got back to flying 2 months earlier than planned. Felt so great to get back and refuel again. I was lucky enough to refuel the A-10's that were doing the flyover for the Indy 500. Good to be back in the air.

  2. As a veteran Flyer I know I have made mistakes on flights (minor ones) so I am a firm believer that minor mistakes should not be the downfall of anyone. I just wished it had come up to see what her response would've been. I wasn't judging, just wanted to listen to the dance.

Pancake read my post again though bud, I just wanted to hear the conversation not dissecting what kind of pilot she was, or future politican she may be because she didn't have enough gas.

In San Antonio of all places....

Although I agree that this was blown way out of proportion, let us be honest. This wasn't USA vs Brazil. This was two American high schools. So without using too many brain cells, looking at the picture and the details from the article, the other team was made up of mostly hispanic players. The other team chanting USA was obviously a poke at the other teams heritage. A no brainer to me.

  4. I personally believe it's been time to go for a while. No one really knows what the end game is anymore. Hell most of us on here only continue to do what we do, because we are helping the bubbas on the ground. I cannot even start to imagine the multiple deployments, seeing buddy's killed, and all the craziness these poor bastards have to endure. Get folks home now, this is a situation that is only going to get worse.

  5. KANDAHAR, Afghanistan (Reuters) - A U.S. soldier went on a shooting rampage in southern Afghanistan on Sunday, bursting into the homes of civilians in villages near his base in the middle of the night and killing up to 16 people, an Afghan minister told Reuters.

Minister of Border and Tribal Affairs Asadullah Khalid, who is investigating the incident, said the soldier entered three homes, killing 11 people in the first one.

Other Afghan officials said at least seven people died.

The incident came just weeks after U.S. soldiers burned copies of large numbers of Korans at a NATO base, triggering widespread anti-Western protests, and plunging already strained ties between Kabul and Washington to a new low.

The soldier has been detained and an investigation is underway, the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) coalition said.

Civilian casualties have been a major source of friction between President Hamid Karzai's Western-backed government and U.S.-led NATO forces in Afghanistan.

"I cannot explain the motivation behind such callous acts, but they were in no way part of authorized ISAF military activity," ISAF deputy commander Lt. Gen. Adrian Bradshaw said in a statement.

Pretty early on and I'm sure more will come out. I'm sure the calls to leave will keep growing. Thoughts?

Edit: Deleted this post as a "NEW" thread, thought it could be put here as being related to Afghanistan, not insinuating any relevance to the Koran burning.

  6. Glad you're ok. What caused it?

Riding in formation heading to Roswell, NM. Sort of a windy day, huge tumbleweed got caught in front wheel (I don't remember this) and I apparently just couldnt shake it at 70 mph, it must of just threw the bike off. It was still stuck there when the bike was shown on the news later that night.
