  1. My case would be two fold on ADSC; that AFPC has said they are still deciding, but also that how I read the PSDMs was that they listed INeligibility criteria. I don't UPT was listed the last time I read it, making it a viable and eligible ADSC eligible issue. I'll reread.
  2. I am rechecking my status tomorrow. I have a feeling I was denied for ADSC. IF it was for a PCS I never wanted and was non-vol'd, I want to talk to base legal to double check that, since AFPC auto-checks the voluntary box for you. If i am denied for ADSC due to UPT, I will appeal to the IG, though less sure about that process. My CC was in my office today and neither of us know where the argument stands. Is the UPT question resolved? Are all pilots ineligible for VSP if you have and UPT commitment left?
  3. BWAHAHAAAA AHAHAHAHAAA. Damn, my wife did NOT find that as funny and awesome as I did.
  4. The 13-65 is more for ADSC waivers. And oh, btw, mind the SOU. I had to fill that one out as well. That makes 3 or 4. It also states we don't need to submit justification for ADSC waiver. PSDM 14-08 says the opposite
  5. Eh. I'm sure they're fine. I understand SNC mx is top notch.
  6. FWIW, I resubmitted after that email regarding the new IRR, SOU, whatever you want to call it. My status changed back to "referred to sq cc" just like the other guys. Not too worried about it, except that I assume the rules will change again, and my unit cc is eventually just going to start putting this bullshit paperwork on a back burner, which would be bad. He and the wing king already recommended against, but obviously I still need him to hit the 'forward to wing cc' button.
  7. I am shocked (but shouldn't be) when I hear stars talk about an issue, or have an issue brought to their attention, and they are way off the mark. We see this with Lt Gen Fiel in AFSOC. I honestly see it more now than I ever did in AMC. Usually has to do with morale or our vision as a force. You always notice the cronies or ring of Yes Men in the front row. I've also been surprised at how candid Aide de Camps have been with me. If anyone gets the ear of one, preach! They can make a difference. FWIW, I am heading in (on leave) to reapply using the new PSDM 14-08 paperwork. I could be wrong, but I read my email as this new Statement of Understanding as being needed BY Monday. Not sure if COB or not, so I am submitting today.
  8. Considering we only have 2 days to fill out the new paperwork, I hope no one applied and is walking around Afghanistan away from a computer.
  9. Well, the vast majority of sober people would consider me ineligible, but yeah, I applied. The system took it. I wasn't sure I had even applied for VSP - it's not intuitive, but then my commander told me he was going to recommend against for manning, so at least I did it right. I think. The point is, the system will take the application and in a few months, you'll be told you were denied for VSP because you were ineligible in the first place. This, according to AFPC as of Thursday. I applied because I don't trust what anyone is saying and am hoping to slip through the cracks. 11S, 2004 year group.
  10. Still zero success applying. vMPF won't display the screen. For the last several days, I only get the error messages on vMPF as a warning, then when I proceed to Self Service Actions, Voluntary Sep, nothing happens. What am I doing wrong? Also, I am working on my letters to the board(s). Who exactly do I send that/those to? Any help is greatly appreciated. FWIW, I am a 2004 11S; applying anyway because.. well you know why.
  11. Actually, the matrix included 11S for 2004 yeargroup, but the document did not. so actually this is new/ different data.
  12. Fighter, Rescue, and RPA aircrew are ineligible according to AF Times. Special Tactics and a few other officer positions are also not invited to the party. Basically everyone else is eligible.... according to AF Times.
  13. AF Times has a article that changes the eligibilty criteria again. I'll add the link when able
  14. I did go to the KCVS briefing by that helpful captain yesterday. Nothing new for the officer side - the entire slide show was a month old and she basically said standby to standby. The red/blue matrix still disagrees with the eligible year groups (Is 2004 eligible for VSP/RIF?) and we can expect emails to follow. Evidently, on the enlisted side, emails have been going out telling folks they'll be force shaped, even if they didn't think they were eligible, and vice versa. Soo, I take that to mean, they have no rhyme or reason to the process still.
  15. Not worried about the consequences. I am shouting from the roof tops. LET ME GO!
  16. Is this eligibility criteria now final? These year groups and everything else?
  17. 04' guy? I understood the rules to be that you (and I) are ineligible.
  18. I used Quick Time Movers because it was the cheapest. I was/ am busy with a PCS and new family, especially with the bullshit lack of clarity that AFSOC gives regarding the future, and lost focus. I failed to check the Better Business Bureau (their rating is an F) and paid the deposit of $175, with the total being $650. They pulled a fast one and on the contract, it had the charge of an ADDITIONAL $650. Anyway, the crackhead driver showed up but promptly left. He'd had many mx issues, made obvious by the POS truck and trailer with multiple blown tires. He left, never called the contacting company, and I have been fighting with Quicktime ever since. They will never call you or do anything to finish the job. I've contacted the BBB and am at the new duty station, fuming but not much I can do. Preparing to get a new company on this. I got in a rush and that was a huge mistake. Don't follow my lead.
  19. Commissary closed UFN.
  20. AF Sec Forces doing taser training... Hmmm, seems like having it clipped to your clothing would hurt less than multiple barbs being shot into your skin. Enroute to Cannon in 2 days. Besides avoiding getting tased in Destin this weekend, anybody have last minute advice? We're stopping in San Antonio to find out on 1 Oct if the Air Force is being sold for scraps and we should just turn around.
  21. Of course it was a joke, but when the 3 star asks the serious question of what the name should be, and that is the answer he gets, well... no one should be pissed when that becomes the actual, stupid name.
