Related question. How do you count evaluator time? Unless the other pilots are unqualified or can't hold the A code, then the EP typically is not listed as the A code.
Most airlines don’t ask for EP/eval time, just a checkbox if you were an evaluator. I’ve heard folks using their EP time as IP time in the calculations

Did they post the stats yet?
Haven’t seen em -
OSA consolidation is in the NDAA FY19, once it’s signed by the President, the pieces will move fast. Expecting the signature sometime this fall, with consolidation in the Spring-ish timeframe (if Congress keeps it in the NDAA).
Is this just a cost saving measure? -
The rumor floating around is that all the C-21s are heading to Scott, the C-40s are leaving Scott and going to Andrews and the C-37s at MacDill are closing and moving 1 each jet to Hickam, Ramstein, and Andrews.
Caveat: very loose rumor with very little background/data to support. -
Huggy - amazingly, this is actually a bigger story than I thought

In-Res is definitely as YMMV as you can get.
We had a pilot as our Flt/CC, drank to excess every night, made regrettable decisions and still made top third without trying. Other flights in our class were not so lucky.- 1

We haven’t seen a “Classic” tag in a while... I’m thinking we are due

Last I checked the CSR does not come with SPG gold, or any other hotel status

Do they still waive fees for people who had the card before they joined? I've had the CSR card for a couple of years now, and I'm waiting to join right now.

AD or all?
AD. And spouses. -
Anyone AD or their spouse that applies for any chase cards after 20 Sept now gets the annual fees waived.
It is not SCRA and it is not retroactive.
I have some CSR referrals left if anyone wants to go that route now that the annual fee is waived. (Automatically, I might add).

Not sure if related or if this should be in the Russia thread:

I'm headed over there soon. Have been told that the Sq/CC is a typical clown act more interested in making O6 than actually taking care of the crews. Anecdotal evidence verifies....Was forwarded a lengthy email directly from said clown concerning approved patches and hat wear. Focusing on the important stuff apparently. SMH.
edit to add: have been told they are using 8 hour show-time windows for crews now. Apparently the way we've done it for 15 years wasn't good enough for this guy so they're re-inventing the wheel.
The last I heard people were complaining about flying out of their windows so much (due to terrible scheduling) that they got rid of windows to stop the complaints. A buddy of mine out there now has been there for a week and has flown in all 3 “shifts” already.

Any tanker bubbas over at the Deid right now? I’ve heard some pretty interesting things about the squadron there lately..

I'm not seeing the matrix on the inter webs. I'm looking for United, Southwest and Marriot rewards all in one, maybe Chase Sapphire, anyone?
2 on the SPG if those are your goals. Solid card all around. PM me if you want a referral link. -

I agree that if you do some serious work, you can beat 2.5%. For example, one of the AMEX cards gives you 5% for grocery stores. I've heard of guys going and buying gift cards at grocery stores for all their other shopping to max that out. I'd just worry I'd lose one and then would lose more than the money I made. But as the previous poster alluded to, I only consider it savings if it actually saved me money. If I wouldn't have bought it or paid that much for it, it's not a savings for me. $220 for 3 breakfasts? $16K for a 9 hr flight? Better be some really personal 'service' inside the first class suite for that price. Not a chance I'd pay anywhere near that money, so I wouldn't have "saved" $16K. Finally, I have more than 200K ultimate reward points and I only spent $8K total on two cards to get them. I'm approaching 300K Marriott rewards points and after the initial $4K in spending on that card, I only use the Marriott card at Marriott properties (and since I'm Platinum, I'd get those breakfasts free also). The rest of my spending goes on my 2.5% card. To each their own, I just don't see those numbers as realistic savings.
I should have mentioned the caveat that those numbers are total for both me and the wife.
The point was just to show that if you want to splurge on a trip that you can get some awesome redemption value out of those points.

Amen. USAA Limitless is my go-to card for anything not in a high bonus category for some other card. 3 months in and everything has been smooth...can't beat the 2.5% cash back for all purchases.
2.5% cash back is nice for not putting any work into anything, but you can get such a better value from points like Chase UR and SPG that blow 2.5% out of the water if you do the leg work.

Fix both and actually have a surplus of pilots (...and unicorns might shower you with pots of gold...)
Just in time for another VSP/RIF!

OPR yes. Fitness test, not sure. Depending on your SR he/she may withhold your retirement medal if you are not current on PT test.

I think they should get rid of the bonus at the end of UPT ADSC. Instead they should enact a rule that allows pilots to fully retire after 15 years (basically 3 years after UPT ADSC expires)
I'd give 3 more years to get a full retirement. 8 no, but 3 would make people think. Puts a typical dude at age 38 when they get out with a full retirement. Bet the "take rate" doubles...
It would at least buy them some time.
That actually isn't a terrible idea. Its the first time I've said to myself "yeah, I'd consider staying in for that" in a while

Any timeline on the above? Next years boards? The next O-4 board in Dec? This will take some time to iron out I hope.

Rumor mill from High Flight says PRFs (at least for Maj) will be cut down to one line.
