Short answer : no, there shouldn't be any issue.
Im also an 09 guy, and transferred my benefits to my wife in late 2015/early 2016 (I don't remember exactly when), and she used a few months of benefits to finish up her degree in late 2016/early 2017.
The six years they refer to is from commissioning, has nothing to do with commitments of any kind. As far as spouse vs kids using benefits, it shouldn't matter since you've already transferred all your benefits to your wife.

I've seen F16, F15E, U28, C145, every 130 variant, etc etc guys come through gunships and all have been accepted and done well. The ones who don't do well and get the cold shoulder are the ones who show up and think that because they've been somewhere else, they know everything about everything. There are massive amounts of very varied experience in the gunship community and as long as that experience is used to make the platform more lethal, instead of dick measuring, it's received as a positive.

For several days, whenever I open the Baseops app on my iPhone, it shows no content under "unread." I thought signing out and back in (on the app) might fix things but now I cannot log back into the app. Whenever I try to login, I get a pop up with 50+ pages of error code. I have no issue logging in via safari on the iPhone or on my computer.
Anyone else having this issue?

Thanks! Bought in Navarre. Of note, my kids are now enthralled with gunships. We're close enough to the range that we can see and hear them practicing. One of the really little ones has even indicated that he'd rather fly the airplane with cannons than the fast and loud ones from our last base.

In other news the person who got the MC-130 Kadena stormed out of the building in tears.
Hopefully they were tears of joy...that's an awesome assignment both for the location and the mission.

This is my exact sentiment, and I've told me Sq/CC as much. I told him point blank that I don't care about school, or anything beyond flying and hacking the mission. Thankfully, he's actually a good leader and supports dudes who don't care about wasting time simply for the sake of wasting time, but also told me not to be surprised if I never promote above Maj. Fine by me.

The best thing to focus on is doing your absolute best. Don't worry about what is on the drops before your class, or how anyone else is doing.
In some cases, if you are at the top of your class and the stars align right, you can get your selection of assignment regardless of what the drop is for your class. It doesn't happen often, and when it does it goes to the #1 in the class. So the only guarantee is that if you're not #1, you will not have that opportunity.
And as dream big said, every assignment is what you make of it.

I would certainly never run a fuel tank dry.
Nobody ever runs out of fuel intentionally. Don't count yourself above making a mistake just because it's a seemingly obvious mistake.

Yes, Global Entry is the exact same thing as pre check except that it works CONUS and internationally. Even if you only travel internationally once, it's worth having

Anyone have AMEX waive the fee for a second platinum card as well? I bit the bullet and got my wife a card so I can get her TSA Pre Check. Talked to two separate agents on the phone and they gave me two separate answers (absolutely yes and maybe).

Yup. I got my wife and my dad additional platinum cards and the fees are waived for both. All the benefits also extend to the extra cards.
Side note : I would get Global Advantage instead of Pre Check. It's free on the platinum and includes includes international travel

Just for an additional data point, in 2007 it was 35k at 0.5% and could be used for whatever you wanted.
A few guys in my class pooled their money and bought some land/built a house in Costa Rica and later sold it for a pretty decent return

Baywatch was absolutely hilarious. It didn't take itself seriously at all, and I thought everyone in the movie played their part well. If you're going to see it expecting a developed plot or serious movie, save your money. It also helped that Alexandra Daddario and Kelly Rohrbach (who are top tier to begin with) are in the Baywatch standard-issue uniforms the whole time.

I thought Covenant was a great movie, but at best a so-so addition to the Alien universe.
I miss the likes of Alien and Aliens, but those are also two of the best sci-fi movies in existence so I've accepted that they'll never hit those highs again.
Michael Fassbender is an incredible actor, and he did not disappoint in Covenant.

Might be a dumb question but to the GI BILL benefits go to your checking account first or straight to the school you're choosing to attend for the tuition portion?
My wife used a few months of my Post 9/11 to finish her degree, and the money went straight to the school. Although she did receive a $500 check from the VA each term for books (at a max of $1000/year)

So, your primary job is flying...but you can only list 2 bullets for it? Even in today’s AF, this is a huge WTF. My last OPR only had 2 bullets that weren’t flying related. If the CSAF has any resolve whatsoever he would fire this guy ASAP
