Anyone else tracking the O-4 promotion list estimated release early or mid May? I'm thinking it might be earlier. Anyone have any intel from any A1 folks on if it will be sooner?

Just got word from a friend that the promotion list for 09 Maj board will be sent to senior raters tomorrow. Promotion release will be 19 June.

Yeah, i tried to see how many folks competed last year but they haven't posted the 08 stats yet, the 07 stats had about ~2400 who went up to the board. Thats including the APZ folks.

Did some searching on Air Force Portal and clicked on the promotion section. If you click on the PDF that lists the promotion increments for Maj it says that the first increment for the 09 Maj group will be 213 folks. If thats the case then that means the total promoted is ~2343 for the 09 Maj board. The 08 Maj board only promoted 2096.

I know at my NAF we had 9 DNPs. I don't know how many total were up for promotion.

Yeah, this is weird. I wonder what the hold up is? I definitely think it has to do with the 100% promotion opportunity. Maybe they didn't get the number of selects they were hoping for even after the big change....

I'm not sure how it will affect you while you are in training, it might affect your training report. Failing the test isn't good though. If you get the reputation of the guy that sucks at PT, it will definetly affect they way your leadership looks at you. You really need to knock the PT Test out of the water the next time around and not ever fail again. One of my buddies is a C-130 pilot at hurlburt and he failed his PT test, got a referral and was passed over for Maj.

So I've been reading that there is a huge shortage of RPA pilots. Does anyone know if TFCSD waivers will be grated to all folks who are trying to go the RPA route? -
