Just saw Game Night. It was okay. Not the worst movie I’ve seen, but I have no clue how it got such high ratings from RT.

    Russian fake accounts and hacking.

Go for it.  While you're at it, let's fix the anchor baby and term limits issues.

I am not advocating that we change the 2A, my point that while as written it is not negotiable (unless the SCOTUS rules otherwise in the interest of public safety or some such...such as random stops for DUI checks) only that the Constitution and the amendments are amendable.

The Second Amendment protects our right to bear arms just like the First Amendment protects our right to free speech (Congress shall make no law). It's not a negotiable document.

While not negotiable, it is changeable.

"For an amendment to be proposed or repealed, it requires two/thirds of both federal legislative bodies — House and Senate — to vote in the affirmative (two/thirds in the House, two/thirds in the Senate). It also requires two/thirds of the state legislatures of the 50 states to vote in the affirmative.  The move to propose or repeal can begin with the American people, with a majority of the populations in two thirds of the 50 states voting for the amendment or its repeal. However, even if the people do this, the push to propose or repeal still has to garner two/thirds House, two/thirds Senate, and two/thirds of all 50 state legislatures."

  4. Did you know his staff finally took away his twitter account so he would stop arguing with/bashing individuals via that social media?  I had sub-threshold noticed the lack of tweets but did not connect it. Here's to hoping as president, he develops a filter between his random thoughts and what comes out of his mouth.  And I am curious to see how things go and if the GOP can hold the house and senate in 2 years.  Obama's policies and Clinton's thuggery contributed to the Repubs controlling both.  It is Trump's to screw up.

I am sincerely glad this election is over.  Hope it gets better from here.

No direct experience either way, because by my math, they don't make sense unless you will regularly hit the catastrophic cap ($3K / yr, last I looked) via ongoing issues driving co-pays & deductibles.  That doesn't apply to my wife & me ("yet"?), so we've foregone any of the supplementals.  Ultimately, you will have to make the call on what's best for you / your family; either way you go will be based on past history & future guessing, but only you can decide.

Prime vs Standard:  The only folks I know for whom Prime makes sense are those who live near a base and wish to use a military facility for PCM.  Otherwise, Prime does little for you while costing premiums & limiting your options.  Once again, you'll have to bounce your own particular situation and maybe craft a few likely scenarios to decide what's best for you.

Tricare Prime, no major health issues with a minor shoulder surgery for a bone spur Oct 2015 (Subacromial Decompression - which was a well spent $25 copay.)  I use the base pharmacy for prescriptions so they are free.  I have found it to be a good deal overall.  I guess this comment is the the military base clinic will not take retirees so I had to find an off-base PCM which has worked out fine.

  6. F'in Classic! Thanks for the blast from the past. This classic email deserves its own thread for posterity, not page 269 of the WTF thread. BTW, I believe an email like that going viral today would probably get someone fired or counseled. There's no room for "telling it like it is" in today's kinder/gentler AF. In fact, some on this very forum have called it "toxic." What a shame.

I do believe there was some counseling involved after it went viral. I leave it for Toro to discuss or not. The Air Force has not changed as much as people think. It is just somewhat easier to get visibility world wide a bit faster these days. Maybe the level of counseling has changed as I remember standing in my Ops O's office with him telling me if I ever do that again he would kill me. His final words "get the out of my office."

I would like to see if the former cadet has anything to say about it.
