I don’t…if someone is so dangerous that we can risk them illegally obtaining a firearm then they should remain in prison (ie fufill their sentence).  Once they do the time and are deemed able to rejoin society, they’re free, and should have the their rights restored.  If not, we run the risk of a tyrannical government (even worse than we currently have at the federal and state levels) charging people for BS crimes, and giving them a “plea deal” to avoid prison (or a very light sentence), and there goes your gun rights.  If you’re a free person, you’re free.

If that were truly the case, then I would have no issue with it; but far too many times we have seen violent offenders released only to commit more crimes.

That said, there are cases where the right to bear arms has no bearing on the matter at hand (i.e., non-violent crimes), and should not be a factor.

"The right to keep and bear arms is an alienable one, not "granted" by any government."

Given what you meant, this is a funny typo 😅

    That's from the Democratic/Liberal viewpoint...

  3. "Ghost guns" are another fabricated and irrational scare tactic term akin to "assault rifles" for those who are hoplophobic.

Serial numbers don't stop the illegal use of a firearm any more than a VIN stops someone from stealing a car.

The right to keep and bear arms is an alienable one, not "granted" by any government.

And, as we all can attest to, anything the government gets its nose into is more likely to get fucked up that fixed!!

Definition of “Engaged in the Business” as a Dealer in Firearms

Unless this gets thrown out in the courts, you kiss goodbye to private firearm sales for those of us who still live in free states.

If you don't feel like trying to understand that legal mumbo-jumbo, William Kirks does an excellent initial summary...

Thanks to the idiots behind the "Bipartisan Safer Communities Act" for actually believing disarming law-abiding citizens will reduce shootings!!  🤬🤬🤬

STELLAR TALENT ACQUISITION RECRUITING REFERRAL (STARR) Program

Air Force Recruiting Service (AFRS) is asking for your help in strengthening our force and wants to reward you for your efforts. The STARR program, governed by DAFMAN 36-2806 A2.14.1.6, was created to award medals to Airmen who refer someone to the Air Force who ships to basic training. In fact, if you refer just one person who ships to basic training, you are eligible for an AF Achievement medal. If you refer three who ship, you get two Achievement medals and if you refer five who ship you get an AF Commendation medal (no more than three medals can be awarded to one person). Since its inception in May 2023, 25 AF members have qualified for AF Achievement medals with the first recipient being an A1C that was one week out of technical training school. Imagine putting together a BTZ package, EPB push statement, or even going before a promotion board with a recently acquired Achievement medal. The STARR program is run through the Aim High App and there are just four easy steps to refer someone. 1) Download the app, 2) create an account (using your .mil email), 3) fill out prerequisites, 4) either you as the referrer can put in the person being referred’s information or you can send them a QR code (or link) to fill in that information for themselves (see picture below).

    Warning!  Old Guy rant!!

It took me two years as an A1C to earn my first AFAM where I was the Wing Airman of the Quarter for the largest tactical fighter wing in the USAF (81 TFW).  It took another 18 months as a SSgt to get my first AFCOM.

I know neither is an overly prestigious award, but at the time I felt my hard work and efforts were being recognized and I was proud to receive both!

Recruiters already get a ribbon, why not expand the criteria to get one of those to these individuals instead of watering down awards meant for duty performance?

During my sentence...I mean tour... As an ALO with an armor battalion, I was having a conversation with one off the air defense guys and he proudly stated that the AD folks could visually ID 67% of all aircraft.  I guess the other 33% are screwed.

I think they were being highly optimistic about that 67%...

First time browsing that cesspool of nonner dipshits? Every time I view that page I’m not surprised the Air Force is in the state it is in.

Yeah, it's a dumpster fire of biblical proportions; but it's also a great source of info such as this!

Until someone gets seriously swatted for posting sensitive shit on there, it's not going to change...

The best posts are where they talk about how officers don’t get disciplined for DUIs, etc, especially compared to the enlisted.  And then of course they also talk about how much more work the enlisted do and how they’re so much smarter than the officers.

So, other than the conversations are taking place on social media and not over beers in the dorms, the topics haven't changed in 40+ years....

  9. Not a fan of Trump, but there is no way you can convince me the last four years under Biden were better!

Had Trump won, our economy would most likely be doing better, our foreign and domestic policies been more focused on important things than wokeness and transgender recognition, and honestly I believe most Americans would have a lot more pride in this country!

The fact that Biden even won (if he even did!) and pretty much every action he has taken over the past four years has been a major embarrassment to the US.

This has got to be the largest amount of horseshit claims I've ever seen in my life, and I did 25 years in the USAF!

The Biden-Harris Record | The White House

Does the White House really think everyone is so stupid to believe all that?!?

Again, I would prefer a different candidate to vote for, one more along the lines of Reagan in the 80s; but once again we are stuck between a Giant Douche and a Turd Sandwich.

South Park on X: "Giant Douche or Turd Sandwich? https://t.co/UI8HG7A2nf" / X

I for one would rather endure the Giant Douche then to spend another four years having a Turd Sandwich shoved down our throats!

What can are you running on that?

I'm in the market for one with the ATF approving individual (not Trusts) Form 1s for suppressors in a matter of days, once I see how I do on my taxes (if you wait until the last minute, it only takes a minute!).

Of course, with the quick turnarounds most online suppressor vendors (Silencer Central, Capital Armory, etc.) are sold out of stock on many items. 🤬🤬🤬
