For specs, etc., go to google, and play with the following: AN/AVS-9 (current mil designation) ANVIS (common term for the -6 and -9 aviators night vision imaging system) F4949 (manufacturer designation) ITT or Litton (manufacturer) Hoffman (maker of all the test equipment) Let me know if you want more gouge...I fly 'em and instruct their use every night. Guest rotorhead Posted February 16, 2005 Share Posted February 16, 2005 Yes. In UPT phase III, UH-1 students have several flights with NVGs. At the FTU, UH-1N folks get checked out on NVG remote ops.
