Hello all,

I would love feedback about my chances of getting picked up active duty by the October rated board for pilot:

Age: 27 (turning 28 in August)

M/F: Female

PCSM: 99 (with 21 hours sim time)

AFOQT: 94 Pilot, 97 CSO, 98 ABM, 87 V, 88 AA, 78 Q

Education: BS 3.407 GPA in Human Developmental Sciences from UCSD

Military Experience: None / Civilian

Thank you!

Overall you have really high scores in the pilot subsections… which are an automatic plus.

You will be judged solely based off what was on your LO application, so your work/ leadership experience, and your personal story will need to be what set you apart.

I was selected for 25OTS01 and a Guard unit (had to apply as a civilian for OTS due to being an ANG member/ different component). Overall similar stats, except I had a lower GPA and Q scores and am 24 years old. Saw people way more “qualified” not get selected and I think it has to do with the LORs and how you sell your story.

What work experience can you speak to and have you also considered rushing Guard/Reserve units?

(cast as wide a net as possible if you just want to fly). I applied to 6 places in the past 1.5-2 years… heard no several times. If you don’t get picked up the first/sixth time, let it roll off the back and it’ll happen eventually.
