Hey everyone,

Hoping to get some input on what my chances are for a fighter unit. Started college a few years back but never finished due to running my own business. Finishing now at WGU in computer science just to fulfill degree requirement. Here’s my basic info

Pilot: 99

PCSM: 99

GPA: Will be 3.0

PPL with 110hrs

Past couple years I’ve been a professional racing driver and running my own business.

Really hoping to get into a fighter unit, I know my GPA isn’t great and a degree from WGU might not be favorable but it’s the fastest way I can get a degree since I’m 27. Has anyone gotten a slot with a degree from WGU or another online school?

Nobody cares where you went to school. Personally, I see an applicant with a degree from WGU, or something similar, and I give them credit for making a sound financial decision instead of wasting massive amounts of $ at a liberal seminary. Great scores on your pilot and PCSM as well. You should have some really cool stories to tell at an interview about racing cars. Good luck.

The problem I've heard elsewhere is the way they calculate GPA. Because its pass/fail their GPA works differently and you come out with a 3.0 from their program no matter if you transferred with an associates with a 4.0 from a community college.

Hurts your application I would think
