I also got the “should be able to release early to mid-Jan” email last week. The way AFPC works, I wouldn’t hold your breath on there being any additional information coming out until the new year 

I’m thinking we won’t know anything until the week of the 14th.  AFPC probably won’t get going again until the week after New Years.

I have no solid source for this, but the estimate from leadership on my end is that applicants number over 350 with around the same number of spots as last year. 😖

I'm going over my app trying to see how I feel about making top 25%. I'm a pilot only with good bullets, solid (90s) AFOQT, but a lousy GPA and 2/2 strat. Wing rec helps I think. 

Wife got me a PSVR for Christmas. If I don't get picked up I'll buy the new Ace Combat and cry into my headset for a year until the next board. 😂

The NDAA authorized 300 more UPT slots for FY19 vs. FY18, so I have a hard time believing that the number of slots on this board is the same as last FY.  Somehow I doubt USAFA and ROTC gobbled up all 300 of those additional slots.

Bruh, I can only drink so much on New Years Eve.

I have a solid source that there were approx 260 ish applicants and 140 ish total slots this board for all positions...

So slightly more than last year... great.

Your solid source sounds a lot better than my squadron's guess. Doubles our odds! I was starting to worry that this was going to be some freak year with loads of apps. 

We initially had like 20 already rated applicants for this board, and that was just in our ops group. I think the high volume of interest is only going up for the next few years.

You only put pilot down? Was that an option?!? I thought I read we had to rank everything we were qualified for.

It's only an option for RPA guys from what I understood. I was told I'm not even allowed to crosstrain to ABM or CSO right now if I wanted to. The only way I can go is to pilot or stay RPA

I JUST NEED TO KNOW, AFPC! This is like Who Wants to be a Millionaire when you give your final answer and Regis just stares at you for an ungodly amount of time.

Send them a email. They are pretty quick with responding .

$10 says none of us hear anything today.

They released the test pilot board results today, which prob has no connection to when ours is coming out but at least AFPC is working.

I saw this post and texted a buddy in my squadron. He hadn't heard anything, but as soon as I texted him he went to find our commander who also hadn't heard anything yet. They sat down while he checked his email, then looked at my friend and said, "Congrats! You made it!" This forum is great...nice heads up!

Haha glad I can help...my wife happens to be the MPF CC and is the first to know once AFPC releases these things. She freaked when she saw pilot release thinking our news was finally here.

It would be great to hear something soon. I wonder how many emails they are getting each day asking for updates. 

With training and a PCS coming up it would be awesome to know if I was selected.  But hey, I've had 15 years of hurry up and wait in the AF and still love it.

I'm torn on that...once someone posts on here that the results are out, all of the lame Commander surprises will be ruined. Collectively, do we hold off on posting here for a day or is the expectation to post on the forums asap if you're the first to find out?

I vote post right away. Sooner I know results are out sooner I can start bugging my commanders exec to check haha.

I just want the notification that the list has been pushed.. we can all bug our leadership individually if we want. I would personally want to know if it’s out...
