November 24, 200421 yr I was talking to a cadet today and he insisted that both the T-1 and T-38 are multi-engine centerline thrust. Is this true? I have always thought that the Tweet was the only centerline thrust trainer.
November 24, 200421 yr The centerline thrust restriction on a ME certificate concerns the distance between the two (or more) engines. T-38 is centerline (just like the F-15)...the T-1 is not. November 24, 200421 yr Author I knew the T-1 wasn't because it is a Beech 400 and I have been in one of those. But he adamantly swore that several IPs told him they both were. Oh well, good to know that the T-38 is. Thanks guys.

November 24, 200421 yr yeah the t38 is, so you can get the FAA to add a multi, but its centerline. The beech 400 isnt centerline, so you get a "usable" rating out of that.
