I heard that I can tune ESPN and other sports broadcasts on HF. Anyone got the freqs?

It would sure shorten those 5.0s from Kadena to Zambo.

I don't now what the specific broadcast frequencies for ESPN are but even if you have them you may not be able to tune them in. It will depend on your radios.

I was able to tune in AM broadcast back when aircraft equipped with NDB radios were more common (NDB operating freqs overlapped AM).

However I doubt you have one of those. Maybe you are lucky enough to have one of the new Wulfsbergs, I heard the they can pickup just about any freq.

Like back when Herks were built? So I'm looking for AM freqs... I'll surf around and see what I can find.

You might try this web page for HF Frequencies.

a few weeks ago I was able to listen to 660 AM which is an east coast sports freq , all the way across the pond, until about an hour out from Shanwick

Go to this website...

https://espnradio.espn.go.com/espnradio/map

Click on the State...then you'll get all the stations.

648 is the AM station out of Kadena. Used to listen to that down in the Whiskey areas to the south.
