    Iast year I applied with 98 pilot / 96 PCSM / 72 cso / 73 ABM / 29 aa / 33 verbal / 32 quantitative and didn’t get picked up. Non rated with average record.
There was a person last year who got selected with 34 PCSM, that stung but good for them. I hope they become a flag officer one day lol.

Otter, I think what’s gonna hurt you the most is that MQ-9s are gonna be around for while, tough to let someone cross flow with as much experience as you got under your belt. We gotta shoot our shot tho! Good luck everyone

2 MQ-9 guys from my squadron got picked up last year. Both graduated flight commanders about to meet their major board.

99 Pilot/90 PCSM ENJPT select. He was prior enlisted pushing 32 years of age.

99 Pilot/99 PCSM Del Rio select. Normal ROTC dude. Applied 5 times before being selected.

I don’t necessarily agree that they are hesitant to let RPA dudes cross train. We are at over 100% manning for the career field and they have a significant legacy pilot shortage.

I think it comes down to luck and a nice package so to speak.

Is the general consensus that it is easier to get picked up from non-rated career fields?

It’s tough to say. 80% of the people from my career field get picked up. I think what helps rated to rated as a RPA dude is I have already been through DOSS, I’ve made it through T-6 and got an instrument rating from the AirForce.

I don’t know what the non rated stats are. But I see a fair amount of non rated selected on the board results in years past.

It could very well be 50/50.

  3. We’ve survived the first technical week of January!

I reviewed results from the previous years to try to collect some truth data.

    2021 16 FEB

    2022 11 JAN

    2023 10 JAN

    2024 25 JAN

note that these are the official posting dates. WG/CC’s have access up to 7 days prior to this posting date.

Hang in there dudes and dudettes!

Boy oh boy this waiting game is grueling. Thanks for putting this page together, as I need a new outlet to talk to about this crossflow process as my wife is probably ready to go visit some family. LOL.

I volunteered for ENJJPT, but I did not rank it as I would prefer going to the traditional UPT bases. I guess we'll see if they want me to go that route, but I doubt it with no PPL. I assume that is a factor for ENJJPT? Anyone's guess I'm sure.

I went Vance, Laughlin, Columbus. Vance because that is where I was originally supposed to go to UPT before I got a surprise medical DQ a month before commissioning, and it is close to my wife's family. I went Columbus last because I am currently stationed in the deep south and wouldn't mind going somewhere new.

This is my first time applying as I had to wait a year before I could apply for a waiver following my eye surgery. Hopefully I can make it all the way, but I am not holding my breath. My OPB and letters should be good, and somehow I was the only one in my Wing applying for the board. Supporting that is my 98 PCSM and 89 Pilot. I am a bit worried the pilot score will be a detriment, but I know where I can boost it as my quantitative score was pretty low. There is always next year!

Good luck to everyone out there!

I am in a very similar boat this year. Only applicant at my Wg so 1/1 strat lol.  99 Pilot score, 94 PCSM with no PPL.

I’m a MQ-9 Evaluator pilot with 700 combat hours and 1300 total hours. I’m hoping the board saw that and would take away that having a PPL adds little to me as a candidate.

I set the expectation of 31 Jan, however it’s driving me nuts already. Making it to the end of this month is going to be a doozy!

Im glad im not the only one suffering haha.

Any idea of we will be able to know before Jan 31?

It is up to the AFPC gods. It’s a big lift to get this published.

I've seen results published  the second week of January and the third as well.

Have your expectation be EOD 31 January. In the event it publishes sooner, it’s just icing on the cake!

On topic of PPL - With IPT coming online I wonder how much the board is going to look at PPLs as a deciding factor since in IPT they are going to send everyone back to civilian flight school to get their ratings regardless of what they have.  Or I wonder if they ever looked at PPLs in that kind of a light, but instead it was more of a you're more likely to have a high PCSM if you have your PPL from high flight hours.

I think this will depend on when IPT actually starts up. From my very brief research 6-9 minutes reading the draft of the requirements. It sounds like a candidate will show up regardless of what ratings they possess and prof advance through training to their specific skill level.

do you know when the first class of IPT is expected to start? Did CAE keep the contract in Pueblo Co?

BLOB: I believe PPL’s won’t be as heavily weighted. But can still be used as a tie breaker as it shows investment and ability of some degree.

  7. Good luck!
my first time my scores were average. I had a Pilot score of 78 and a PCSM of 76. I was number 3 at the Wg.  I was a non select.

I took this last year to really work on my application.

I retook the AFOQT as a senior captain. I felt like Billy Madison in my testing center with all junior enlisted testing to commission.

I was able to bump my scores to a 99 pilot, 92 PCSM and earned the #1 Wing strat.  I sincerely hope this is enough to get me across the finish line for this year!

QUAG, thanks for creating this space, we’ve been quiet this year.

Of course! It’s generally quiet until mid November when the board meets, then quiet again until late December lol. I’m expecting 250-300 applicants this year with 70-80 slots.

Is this your first go at it?

Hey man who's your "friend" that gave you that Intel? Either someone is seriously holding out, or you're just stirring the pot man, cuz nobody else got notified.

A buddy of mine got selected last year. He is currently at UPT. His neighbor is the wing exec and she discussed it with him. I wouldn’t have texted my wing exec, and my sq cc if I didn’t believe him. I have no reason to believe that this guy would ever lie to me.

    Nope.

What’s everyone’s feelings on getting a call vs. a list being released? Personally I’d rather open a list myself to see the results instead of waiting for a call from my commander.

For me, a call happens a week before any lists are published. I’m antsy and just want an answer as to yes or no. I’ll happily speak to my boss if it saves a week of anxiety.
