  1. I know this topic has been brought up in the past and I am wondering if anyone has updated information on the matter. I had two ACL and Meniscus surgeries after which I gained full functionality. What would be the impact of this when having the flight physical ? Cheers in advance for any help !
  2. I will try to keep this short. I set out my goal to become a fighter pilot in the air guard/reservers no matter what. For me this sounds like a dream career with high rewards and no disadvantages. But what really flipped a switch in my head is this very meaningful conversation I had with an old Marine. It all came down to "Speed, guns, and bombs are all cool but are you ready to kill people?". I didn't really think that part through. I was always focused on the path to get in the seat of jet and even though it seemed nearly impossible, I knew I would have a lot of fun even if I were to fail in the end. But now I thought what if I actually make it through. Ultimately I would be trained to kill bad guys, but how do I drill this will to kill in my head ? I grew up in an extremely religious household, so now I understand why my mom nearly passed out when I said I wanted to be a fighter pilot. Apologies in advance if this comes out disrespectful at all. It's been nearly a year now since I started thinking maybe I am not the right person for the job, and I feel helpless with no goal anymore. I am now finishing my sophomore year in college and need to decide on a path. I've considered other platforms like pave hawks or cargo/refuel. But I don't feel the same drive as I did with the fighters. If anyone has any advice how to get back on track I will be extremely grateful.
