  1. Hey all, Couldn't find an existing topic that covers the question, but I'm sure I'm not the first and only one who's ever wondered it. I also will say up front that I'm sure the chances are slim if they exist. Long story short, I was a UPT stud, dot med DQed, went non-rated, got a waiver, re-applied, got denied to crosstrain by my CFM (didn't think that would be possible, but I digress). At this point I'm set up to attend a program with a new ADSC commitment for my next assignment, and I'll be about a mid-grade Captain by the time I can get out. What I'm wondering is - is it possible, have you ever heard of anyone etc. rushing a guard or reserve fighter squadron as a a non-rated mid-grade Captain? I've heard of guys getting heavies off the street with virtually no PPL hours during the worst of the manning crisis, and I've heard of not even getting a look unless you're prior rated when manning is maxed out. So all I'm really asking is - is there a chance? Thanks in advance.
  2. Non-select. 86 Pilot, 76 PCSM. #1 Wing candidate, Wg/CC LOR, Wg strat and MAJCOM awards. Whatever the magic sauce was, guess I left it out. Congrats to everyone who got what they wanted! Go kick ass.
  3. I wish I understood the process more. Talking to some CGOs at my base, they're saying commanders were already notified, but my sq cc says he hasn't seen anything and the wg cc didn't have anything. I assume wg CCs know even non selects? Oh well.. Just a few more days until it's public I guess... Or if someone forwarded it directly to my sq cc I wouldn't tell 👀
  4. On a prior PSDM I was on, they gave the commander the full PSDM for commander's release - saw it with my own eyes. So the whole thing is out there, not just individual names.
  5. Anyone at one of the closed bases getting their results? And on that note, does anyone with access to the list care to share... You can even send it to my commander if it makes you feel better.
  6. I'll be honest - my ADSC is up in a year and I've gotten a lot of weird looks when I tell people I'm trying to go back to flying AD. I'd say all of my bros (and female bros) across the board are urging me to just start rushing now so I can make a seamless transition. On the other hand, if being AD is your dream and pilot second, I'd say consider giving RPAs a go. Their role in the fight is big now and only getting bigger. I'd give it more consideration if I weren't satisfied enough with my career field as is.
  7. Sounds like the same base - JBSA. Yeah, there's a chance it isn't open until Thursday as well.
  8. Doesn't look like I'll see my answer tonight, and looks like the base is closed tomorrow. 76 PCSM, 86 Pilot w/ PPL. We'll see what happens. And for the record, I am not above bribing someone with access to the information.
  9. So close you can almost taste it. I think I preferred knowing it wasn't out yet!! As opposed to it being out, but not being able to reach it. I bet I've emailed my commander so many times he's auto sorting my emails into the trash lol.
  10. Congrats!! So does that mean all MPFs should have access?
  11. Yup, checks out. Jbsa is closed and I was teleworking. Was, because I've also lost power. So no more teleworking for me. Oh well!
  12. My understanding is that AFPC has been primarily teleworking since the pandemic basically began. Which in turn, would mean the main issue may be that there's no power for those teleworking from home. Imagine telling your grandkids that your ability to become a pilot was pushed off first by a pandemic, then by a snow storm in Southern Texas.
  13. Do you think that if they can't see it by now, it's probably a no go for today? My hope was that it's automated at this point, but the two possible lynch pins I can surmise at this point would be AFPC and then at least my local MPF. Since both are closed, and most of San Antonio is without power which in turn compromises teleworking... Meh. Let's hope it's automated!
  14. Negative on list confirmation - my commander notified me he's looked as well, but hasn't seen anything. Full disclosure - my city is effectively shut down from the weather. If at this point any part of the process is reliant on our MPF, I wouldn't expect to see it myself. Now, if someone else got it and took a looksie for me...
  15. Shit, I'll take it. Does anyone know who exactly can view it via myPers secure? I have duties at another unit other than my ADCON, but I haven't PCA'd. So my senior rater is different than my actual CC. And more importantly, said senior rater will be TDY on Tuesday...
  16. Which portal page are you talking about? Rated assignments > UFT?
  17. I'll be completely honest, I'm sweating mostly because I didn't do my best work. Fact is, my PCSM is coming in below average compared to last year for Pilot, but above average for the rest of the positions - but I wouldn't rate my odds of accepting another position high. I'm in this not entirely unique but uncommon position of having been a UPT med-dq re-applying to go back. Of course, that's captured in my form, personal letter, LOR etc which I would say overall are pretty solid. But for some reason, I let myself be convinced that for that reason I didn't need to re-do my TBAS or AFOQT since 1) they were good enough the first time and 2) I was afraid of taking them and getting a lower score. Now I'm beginning to think I probably counted too much on my prior-UPT experience and whole package, and probably should have put more emphasis on the score itself. Of course it's too late now, but I'm hoping this doesn't become that thing I always look back to as an example on why it doesn't pay to become complacent. Not that anyone asked... just venting to get those nerves out! Edit: on rereading this I'd like to emphasize this ain't a pity party. Just recognizing that I'm sure lots of us are having last minute "what if" thoughts. I will emphasize that any failure is mine and mine alone, of course. And any failure is a growth opportunity and all that good jazz.
  18. See? That's why I totally wasn't nervous this weekend or dreamed of not getting my first pick last night. Nope, none of that from me, because I totally wasn't anxious about the results coming out today. And Tuesday I'm sure I will also be stoic and composed the whole way through.
  19. Here's what I'll do: instead of verifying @AW91 and waiting until I see proof, I'll let the anxiety ruin my weekend. Then on Monday if the results don't come out, I'll just say to myself that of course they didn't and I wasn't worried about them coming out on Monday in the first place of course.
  20. I can at least say UPT is not a TDY, it's a PCS. Source: was a UPT stud already but left for medical. Trying for the lucky two-fer.
  21. Out of total curiosity, not that it may matter much at this point - has anyone ever seen a breakdown of how packages are graded? Basically, is it your absolute PCSM that matters, or certain ranges? How is PCSM weighed compared to the rest of your package such as the personal letter, letter of rec, wg recommendation # / # etc.
