Chances for ANG UPT
Dude I been using the Barron practice test and the free ones on afoqtstudyguide.com and I did decent on those but when I took the Peterson ones I did awful. I was going to to take the real test this month but I'm going to postpone it.

A-10 units
What's really sad its people come here for advice but some members actually enjoy leading people the wrong way. I hope that's not the norm in the Air Force.

Chances for ANG UPT
I'm in the same boat. It's 27 really that bad? My afoqt is schedule for July. Wondering if some heavy units in McGuire will take me or if I have a shot at Ft Wayne.

A-10 units
Hey man thank you for the response. I agree 100% with what you said. At the moment I'm at the airlines and I was prior service army but I feel like my GPA might kill the chances (2.5) since I heard fighters are super competitive and I being prior service I don't want to waste anybody's time either.

A-10 units
Thank you for understanding. That's my point I really like the A-10 but since I don't know the future of the plane I don't want to get my hopes up. From what I got from Kiloalpha is that the A-10 units are not as competitive as the other fighter units.

A-10 units
No, it would not. But I know how the aircraft is being slated to go away I don't know if that's affecting with recruiting in certain units. I am just trying to get a field for what it's going on out there. I work for an airline who has an aircraft living and nobody wants to go into it because they know its a dying fleet. I don't know if its the same with the A-10.

Limited officer positions
Fixed.. my apologies I was in the middle of a turn.

Limited officer positions
I got a hold of an Air Force Reserve recruiter and he replied with the following: Thank you for your interest in the Air Force Reserve! At this time there are a very limited number of available vacant positions to become a commissioned officer. Is this true or is he trying to make up his enlisted qouta?

Regional pilot to reserve/ guard
Thank you for the info. Not trying to be picky again with air frames but heavies is my top choice actually. Really appreciate the encouragement.

Regional pilot to reserve/ guard
At the airlines I feel like it's a revolving door. You might fly with someone today and never see that person again. In a way I miss the tight community. As for why I want to come in as a pilot? I want to gain experience. Also I been told the community is very close. I would like to find a place were my wife can volunteer and we can call it a second family.

Regional pilot to reserve/ guard
Hi everyone, I have been debating for a little while going into the guard/reserve. Currently I am working as a regional pilot based out of O'Hare. I am 27 and hold a bachelor's degree but my GPA is sitting at 2.6. I served 5 years in the Army guard as an engineer (enlisted). For my total time I have around 1700 hours with roughly 600 in the CRJ. My questions to you all is, do I stand a chance? I really don't care what I fly, heck it can be a Cessna 172. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you for your time.
