  1. I’m not sure what LP means, but the plan is to get seed funding from outside investors then build a company from the ground up. I’ve already met with some high net worth people that are pretty sold on the idea. Once they sign some contracts I’m going to talk with my commander. I’m hoping it’s easy to get out as my career field is overmanned currently and I’m willing to pay back what’s needed.
  2. Idk what they consider considerable. I made close to $1million and the startup will offer more than that if I am able to join. I love the Air Force, but the opportunity to work on a project I can really contribute to sounds amazing.
  3. As the title says I accepted a bonus and now I want to pay it back and get out. I love the Air Force, but I’ve come into some money and want to pursue other goals in life. I recall the bonus paperwork going pretty high up if I decide to pay it back and get out, but was curious if any of you have any experience or know anyone that has done this? I want to have all my ducks in a row before I start anything formal so any recommendations you all have would be appreciated. if anyone is curious I’ve made this money in investments and now I’m being recruited into some cool startups. I am not joking when I say I love the Air Force, but we only have so much time on this earth and I feel I want to take a gamble and try something new.
  4. Thanks for the replies, I'll email the registrar and try and get those hours. Unfortunately even if I got 201+hrs it would only bring it up to an 81. I am really hoping that taking the AFOQT from a 68 to 90+ can help me get it up even more. It seems if it is not a 90+ I will not be competitive at all. I wish they would forgo my original TBAS since it was taken 7 years ago.
  5. I am an active duty CSO and am applying but I feel it's a long shot. I retook the TBAS and somehow only managed a 59 PCSM with 20hrs ppl time. I will retake the AFOQT since it got adjusted from a 91 to a 68 but idk how much it will help my dismal PCSM. I don't want to sound like a douche but I can't believe there is no 3rd TBAS waiver as I took it 7yrs ago and at the time I didn't put much care into it because I was already selected as a Nuclear Physcist out of ROTC. My det commander was the one who changed my mind my senior year hence why I'm a CSO now.
