From what I gather this is AFRC only. That's from my sponsoring unit as well as a friend who works on the boards. Could that change tomorrow? Of course.

I really just don't get that. Why make people go full time for less pay. Why not just keep it as is but offer more full time spots. Don't get not paying us the traditional reservist way either. I feel like this would just make more applicants avoid the Reserves and try Active Duty of Guard.

I'm going for the November board. But would be interested to hear if any sponsored applicants were denied for whatever reason. Or if they are taking unsponsored apps.

They haven't sent interview invitations yet. Expect to hear next week

I still haven't heard. Not sure if they send out thank you but no thank you emails though. Did anyone get an invite?

What if you didn't have an easy major, say Civil Engineering from the 3rd toughest engineering school in the country. I was working full time to pay bills and rent. Also, taking care of younger sister because Dad wasn't around and mom was working all the time. Would the GPA still be such a negative aspect if there was extenuating circumstances around it? I have a really bad GPA and am honestly proud of it. There were many times I thought I was not going to make it but I pressed on and got it done. Do I have a wonderful 4.0 hell no. What I do have is a roof over my head, an awesome job now, and my sister is kicking ass in grad school. I want more than anything to fly for the AF but it seems they can't get passed my "bad" GPA. Will the ANG or Reserves possibly see that my GPA doesn't represent a kid who didn't try in college and wanted to play video games all day but rather a "kid" who had to grow up much faster than most due to bad circumstances at home and was still able to get an engineering degree.

That's the confusion then. The 16OT02 Rated OTS Board met the same dates but our anticipated release date is March 4th. I guess they fill spots with AD officers first which makes sense.

Universal that makes sense but I was confused because earlier in this thread they specifically mention the release date being March 4th. Also isn't the board called something else when an officer is applying to cross train into another officer field? Enlisted AD still apply to OTS generally the same way civilians do. Really confused here and really anxious to find out so any info would greatly be appreciated from the AD guys!
