From what I was told, they are giving AMS, IFS, UPT dates after you are medically cleared by Brooks due to the delays in waivers and such. I received mine two months after Brooks.

So I'm getting my uniforms set up for the next class and I was wondering about my career badge. I got my 7 level while enlisted, which badge (if any) should I put on my ABUs and Blues?

Flying out to Brooks on Sun Nov 15th. May be silly question but I am wondering what I should wear for Monday morning? One site said bring AF PT gear and another said civilian PT gear. Do I need both or just the AF PT gear? shorts or pants? I assume you can carry a backpack or something to put your extra clothes in? Thanks!

When I was down there they were pretty easy going with us. we were all guard and a little smaller group than usual. I would start in PTU but bring civilian stuff as well to maybe change. I would suggest not wearing any type of uniform for comfort. Don't wear blues!

Are you trying to add an image or just text? How much text are you trying to input?
I was getting the same error while trying to input about fifteen words.

It also takes away some, if not all, of the apprehension to use force. If nobody from your side is at risk, the slightest source of ignition can cause a full scale conflict.
I always claim that troops are to be viewed as "tools" to be used at the discretion of commanders to allow them to be placed in harms way, but they are still people. If you lose that, where do you go from there?

100% Recommend the ARCO book. There are two of them, get em both, bite the bullet on the cost, this is your future right? spend a little money on preparing correctly.
cheers!

I used these:
I found the Barron's tests to be the most useful, but all three just got me into the AFOQT thinking mindset. I saw it as an investment into my future. I've spent more on one book for college and got less out of it than I did with these three.

For anyone out there that just went through the UPT selection process, how long did it take to get your application packet ready? I understand that things like letters of recommendation, etc. should be given a few weeks to get done; i'm looking for an average length of time. The reason I ask is that i just started looking around at units in my area and one has an application deadline of 15 July 09. Also, what were the application requirements for your unit? what were they looking for to be in a complete package to be considered? Thanks in advance for any information.
I started mine in the beginning of February and had it in by Mid March but I was by no means typical. I took the AFOQT and the TBAS during that time as well. I interviewed in April and was offered the position later that week. Besides the AFOQT and the PCSM scores, my unit wanted an officer application, college transcripts, and pilot application. I asked the MPF what they wanted and they said there are the minium requirements and then what ever extra (letters, picture, logbook pages etc.) to set you apart from the rest is up to you. But like I said, I was in no way typical.

I got the smallest I could find plus a couple extra inks. Do you think a ream of paper is too little/much? I'm bringing my laptop as well. Only a couple more days. I'm not looking forward to driving through a snowstorm!
