FY 14 Force Management Program (RIF, VSP, TERA)
Congrats to everyone who got approved so far!! Out of curiosity, has anyone actually gotten a disapproval email yet? I know someone had posted an article or email a few pages back explaining how that would happen next week but then I swear I saw someone post that they had a guy get disapproved. Just wondering, as many of my friends have gotten approved but yet I still have a few who haven't heard (in the same year groups). It's just interesting to me and I hope they're just getting a delayed approval. Again, congrats on your freedom!

While I hope you're joking, I would 100% believe you without hesitation...

Can you remind me again what the difference is with Palace Front and Chase? I know I read about it months ago but I have forgotten. Any rumors on where all the mc-12 guys will go if they're not going to AFSOC with the planes? Congrats on your freedom!

An 06 11R who got approved very quickly after application a few days ago. I think it is still very much alive but people are scrambling to get their paperwork together, which is a chore.

Do you have a unit that is no kidding giving a position number? When my ISR decided to go on TDY and then subsequently PCS without telling me, I had to get my gaining unit involved to find their boss. He then became my new ISR... I'm sure he was stoked, but everything got done within a few days. I feel your frustration, I went through that for about a month also... good luck

Do you all know if our leave transfers over? I heard PC should be "seamless" and therefore leave should transfer but I haven't gotten an actual answer yet. Does it sound right that as long as separation orders and reserve/guard orders aren't separated by more than a day that leave sticks with you and if not you could lose it? I intend to call TFSC but I also know that the most accurate info I've gotten so far has been from everyone here, so I'm trying you all first.

SQ/CC and WG/CC both approved. Like Bama, not sure if it went to the functional because it sat at the PC office (from what I could read) on CMS for only a day and the next thing I knew the AFPC lady was emailing me to correct a few things. Later that day I got the approval. I'm an 11M in RPAs, going to an RPA unit, which is why I think both commands approved. But, as I'm told, it's ultimately an AFPC call to let you go no matter what unit you want to go for. Total toss up.

Completely valid, as logic is something that must be applied with caution, if at all in this case. It took me over a month because of a bad recruiter who didn't tell me he was headed to SNCOA and then PCSing while I was on leave. Awesome. His boss took over (once I was actually able to track someone down who was in their office) and I was able to submit everything in probably 6 weeks total. I totally get where you're coming from, it's frustrating no matter how you go about this. Just passing my experience along.

This was my logic also. Would I like the PURE freedom to get out and get money in addition? Absolutely. But this SEEMS to be a business decision by the AF and despite being a military, decisions will be made from a business standpoint (IMO). To me the VSP is a gamble, none of us know how they will truly figure this out. PC on the other hand is an easier decision because they aren't completely losing you. Of course I could be way off, but I just got approved in less than 2 days after submitting my PC app with a position number. If some of you are on the fence and have a position number, just think about it because a lot of people are quickly getting approved right now. Good luck everyone. 2007 11M, 4 years 3 months of ADSC remaining

Palace Chase Approved this past week 07 11M, approx 4 years 3 months of ADSC will be left at my DOS. Those lurking around for VSP- If you have a guaranteed position number and apply under the FY14 program, this process goes fast. I found out in just over two days after I officially applied. Good luck everyone.
