I found some DSN numbers on MyPers for non-selection counseling and Eavaluations Appeal Section, if you want them just shoot me a PM.... I'm going to try and fight this, I figure worst comes to worst the Guard my have themselves a new co-pilot! On another note, My squadron didn't send up an OPR until one year after I graduated the herk school house. I did the math and I fell under 120 days so they could have done an OPR on me for the board. Does anyone know the reg that allows you to back date an OPR or if that is even possible?

I'm going through the reg right now and it says initial ADSC, a buddy of mine who just got approved for PC says all of his dates reflect his total ADSC. Anyone have any insight on this?

I may be wrong but I thought It was one year after formal training

@Butters I commissioned on May 1 2009, EAD on 28 OCT 2009, IFS 3 Jan 2010 UPT Feb 2010, Graduated March 2011, put on 1LT 29 June 2011 (my date of rank) in the C-130 school house graduated on 28 Oct 2011 (Which means my first OPR closes out 28 OCT 2012) That was my time line. The only thing I got on casual was an LOE.

No kidding, When I first got to the squadron that was the first thing he told us to do..... Bet I'll start a new trend where the Air Force will expect a Masters to Captain

I feel like this belongs in this thread.... Myself and other 1Lts, with no force indicators (DUI, article 15 etc.), that have been out of UPT/Formal training for less than a year with no OPRs got passed over for captain...

I can't believe this is going on, I just got another e-mail saying next year I have a 47% chance of promoting above the zone..... Anyone know if anybody is looking for a herck co-pilot?

So I am in an interesting situation. I'll start off by saying that I have NO unfavorable information (Article 15s, DUIs, etc). I spent the better part of two years in training, I show up to my squadron and two/three weeks later they are telling me I need a PRF for my Captain board. All I have for this are two training reports. Yesterday I find out that I got passed over for Captain. No one knows how it happened, and the commander and DO said they are going to try and fight it, but continued to say that being above the zone, it still would be tough for me to make it. I read the palace chase regs and it says I have to serve at least 2/3 of my ADSC (As I understand it) to be eligible. Is this true for passed over LTs? No one I know seems to know the answer to this and I feel like no one knows what to do with me since this has never happened to anyone.

Here's a queation. My DO sent out an e-mail saying that the C-130 community as a whole has to fill 5 MC-12 Slots 5 UAV slots. My commander has been talking up UAVs saying how they are the wave of the future. While this may be true, I myself would like to keep flying. My problem is I am a low time co-pilot averaging about 5 hours of flight time a month due to co-pilot over manning. My question is, how likely would a co-pilot with two years and on station and low hours to be pulled for something like this by AFPC; and should I volunteer for the MC-12 gig to attempt to keep myself in the cockpit. Or should I ride out the storm.

Word is from our OG we are going to get iPads at Little Rock but they are going to be locked so you can only put pubs on it at the squadron.

Does anyone know how to go about getting an exchange with the Canadians flying herks? Or knows anyone that has done it?

Are they giving you guys PPLs out of it? I think FAA minimum is something like 40 hours...

So I heard a rumor the other day the rated guys flying RPAs are going to be given some sort of plane to fly to "keep their hands warm" like the B-2 and U-2 guys get. Can anyone confirm this or is this just a nasty rumor spreading around UPT?
