  1. Some of my friends use MJ. I have not, but I have been in the same house when they have. I remember at the beginning of ROTC our CoC said we need to leave a party if we see it. Is this a problem?
  2. This GPA stuff is way too confusing. I transferred schools and ROTC calculated my GPA lower than what I had at my previous school using the + and - system. My new school doesn't calculate GPA with my old school grades and as far as I know ROTC just puts into the wings system the GPA off the transcript from my current school. Should I calculate my GPA on my own from both schools and give it to ROTC on the transcript I give them? (I go to a crosstown school so I have to give them my transcript) Or should I just give them whatever my current school transcript says and let them figure it out? My GPA may be higher with both schools calculated depending on if my Det. is using the + or - system or not. But they seem to be just taking whatever it says on my latest transcript. I ask because I want to get the best GPA possible and make sure ROTC gives it to me, but I don't want to meddle with my grades too much and cause any problems. Anyone experience any kind of a similar situation? Anyone think it's possible their Det. is doing something wrong that could hurt their competition for a rated slot?
  3. I know that the +'s -'s cadets get on their grades do not matter, but what about the GPA hours associated with the courses a Cadet takes. For example, the AS100/200 courses are only 1CR each, so does ROTC count them as less than other full courses when calculating your total GPA for that term? Thanks -Wes
  4. My room mate was drinking and got written up. Because it was my room as well, as well as the fact I was there, I got written up too. What can happen because of this?
  5. Asthma medicines also treat allergy symptoms, correct? For example, Singulair can be perscribed for both allergies and asthma? Would that be bad to have taken Singulair?
  6. So two doctors letters saying I do not have asthma and that I do not take any medications is good?
  7. I'll go with a signed statement just to be safe. And there was no major surgery during that time. Thanks
  8. When DODMERB requests all medical records from birth to present, what happens if records are unavailable? For example, I recieved my physicals through my High School and they discard them after the student leaves. So from 14-18 there are no medical records except for one physical which I happen to have. Would a signed statement from the athletic director saying just that be ok? Is it not a big deal? Is my Air Force career over? Secondly, do I have to get my dermatologist records from when I was 14 and got treated for acne? I would assume yes, it is just taking a long time and really how important is it? Finally, how long does it take to process the medical records once DODMERB has it? And do they ever call physicians and ask for records on their own? Thanks
  9. Correct me if I am wrong, but regardless of what your medical records say you can get the asthma DQ waived if you pass a methacholine?
  10. Test will not be a problem as, as I took one BEFORE she wrote the letter to prove I was ok. I guess I will send the stuff to DODMERB and wait for the reply. Correct me if I am wrong, but when initially DQ'd I automatically get to petition for a waiver?
  11. Very similar to me. However this happened a little later in my life (teenage years) and although I was initially treated for asthma, the doctors say now that I never had it and instead just had seasonal allergies. Now today, I have no sign of either condition. However, on those medical records when I was 16 or so, "asthma" is written on a few pages. Thanks for the offer and I will PM you.
  12. It can get waived for other AFSC's? What exactly constitutes a verified history of asthma? How much to doctor statements persude dodmerb?
  13. If a cadet had symptoms of Allergies/Asthma in his late teen years, but no longer has any symptoms, is not on any medication, and the allergist/asthma doctor states in writing that the cadet no longer has asthma or allergies, what are the chances for disqualification and than for a waiver?
  14. What about guys with considerable ratings before? Like guys with their CFI and a few hundred hours?
