  1. The Golden Rule applies...put yourself in the other person's shoes and tell me how you would feel.

That's the problem right there. Decisions like this should have nothing to do with feelings or emotions. Like the article says, the only thing that should be considered is will this have a positive or negative impact on combat capability. I think most combat professionals would argue that this is merely a political move that will in the end hurt combat capability. I just hope no one is injured or killed as a result of this decision.

Edited cause I don't rite good

  2. well, use them bars on your shoulder and ORDER the LPA to do it (sts)...

That right there is a huge problem with the punks now. If it doesn't get them personal recognition or aren't ordered by the boss to do something, they don't do dick.

    ". . . Back in the LPA"

  3. I did an internship in DC my senior year of college and stayed at an extended stay type place in foggy bottom on 25th. The room wasn't anything to write home about but the location was priceless. I forget the name of it and a quick google search wasn't much help but it was right across the street from the river inn. If you do luck out and find a place near Georgetown, I highly recommend Mr Smiths'. It's an awesome lunch/ brunch place that turns into a piano bar at night. Many good times!

  4. Roslyn is a good spot. Real quick metro ride across the river into the city and decent restaurants, etc on the VA side as well. Crystal City and foggy bottom are good options as well. Silver Spring is nice but would be a miserable commute. Don't bring a car unless you plan to leave the metro area frequently. Parking costs will far exceed the metro pass price.

  5. You do not know what you ask for!! The centrifuge has the distinction of being the least fun experience I've probably ever had.

I agree that studs should be practicing their AGSM at the lower Gs to make it instinctive at higher Gs. However, I would argue that the first time you hit 9G's in the sim or that 9K' TC entry on OB-1 is where you really learn how to AGSM.

  6. Once you get registered in DPS setting up a move is pretty straight forward since it asks specific questions then auto-populates the forms for you to submit to TMO. If you have specific questions, call your local TMO shop and have them walk you or your husband through the process. Don't let them tell you no, they likely have cheat sheets available or can take 10 minutes away from Facebook to help. Good luck on your first of many moves.

  7. No FACs in attendance this past weekend for our fitness testing...

Are many KC-10 guys FAC qualified?

Sorry, can only bite my tongue for so long when (non)support agencies use flying terminology with no regard for what the true meaning is. It makes me want to choke people when I hear folks that can't even find the flight line talk about checkrides, FACs, wingmen, TTPs, etc.
