I've done a part-time technician before. Worked well, but I bet that it will be very unit dependent.

So let's say I hit 20 years as a LtCol. This is my 20 years for an active retirement. I then become a DSG and promote to an O6. I get 3 Years TIG and then retire.
What is my retirement based on? O5 or O6?

That is the Terre Haute, Indiana guard unit. The 181st FW. Great unit that lost its F-16s during the Brac of 2005. Now a non flying wing with a bunch of odd missions.

These new rules allow zero down payment on any size loan? Someone who has their full entitlement can buy a 1million $ house and put nothing down?

The VLPAD looked good to me as a way to move into a ROTC instructor position at a desirable location. Not sure I would do it as a flyer...but everyone's situation is different.

My research says no. Only was I saw was the chance as a guard guy doing a VLPAD tour and getting the states blessing to stay on an api code
