  1. My thinking is that if Barber stays in, nothing really changes for us and she won't run again in two years. If the RNC is behind her, and she gets in, she'll just be a RINO and we will have a hard time getting rid of her. The House will be safe until the next election. I did send her an email asking if she would be willing to sponsor a bill to allow the A-10 program to be shifted to the Army. My frontline Army friends really love that platform. My SF friends would like the OV-10 back, too. She hasn't responded. LS
  2. Thanks for that, Beaver! TomChuck did his job, but Wooten didn't. Plus, the radio station is an FM station and doesn't reach Cochise County. Cochise is very conservative, despite Bisbee being the County Seat, but the gerrymandering chiseled out a portion of Tucson to counter us. In federal elections, we're screwed. LS
  3. Well, as Rainman A-10 pointed out in post #156, it made it to the local media in 2012 when TomChuck Norris went on the radio to expose her. It would have been easy to research. Kind of leaves me in a bit of a pickle come November. LS
  4. That's my guess, too. I voted for Wooten but I never heard him bring up her questionable past. He may have, but not so loudly that I heard it. LS
  5. Not a big deal, really. I voted for Frank, but they will all be running for CD2 in a couple of months. Under redistricting, CD8 will wrap around the SE, E, NE, and North part of the state. We are orphans here. We may like it that way, though. ;)
  6. I remember B-47s when I was young. Then BUFFS at Amarillo BEFORE I joind the Army in '67. Three BUFFS and a KC135 followed by 3 more B-52s take off from Kadena, day after day after day after day, when I was stationed on Okinawa in '68 and '69. And I saw a bunch destroyed after the SALT treaty (I think). And yet...they live! One year younger than me. Salute.
  7. Yes, very good. That may well be. As an Airline Dispatcher for many years at LAX, I saw, heard, and dealt with many crosswind caused compressor stalls and/or surges, but no ejection seats. I was only pointing out a fact and offering an opinion from past experience. KNTU's 05R departure end is 23L approach end and the Navy said it was a departure. As you were! ;) LS
  8. Didn't finish my thought. I just heard a resident say that he heard several bangs before the aircraft hit the building. I'm thinking a possible compressor stall/surge. LS
  9. Also Frank Antenori: http://www.antenori.com/ http://www.amazon.com/Roughneck-Nine-One-Extraordinary-Special-team/dp/0312353332/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top LS
  10. Being in the district that she's running in, her Rep. Primary opponents are also combat veterens: Frank Antenori, a Special Forces Team Sergeant (Roughneck 91) and current State Senator, and Jesse Kelly, Marine. Ft. Huachuca is probably the biggest employer in her district, also. The grunts have her surrounded. LS
