  1. Purely out of curiosity, how much does it cost to do that to your doors?

I did it myself for less than a grand...

And on the pic, I can outrun a real lambo for the first 1320 feet and thats with the big girls in the back for added traction. lol

  2. I had an F-14 try to take a basket during WWOIF 2. I do not know how is stayed on but it was something I do not ever want to see again. The jet did the whole dance, cut the power and fell out of the drogue, then proceeded to all but roll inverted. It was the only real world breakaway I have ever had with a Navy jet... He even called uncle and went back to the ship.

  3. 10K an hour (2.5K per engine)

Wasn't my beef. Was AMC's beef, since they're the biggest spenders on fuel in the AF.

I do mean to call ya out but do you have to get on this board and bitch everytime we have a meeting at the base? AMC has a reason and a method for their madness.

  4. Wow that is classic. I thought at first it was a "fake" page with the wildcard added after the website until I went to the office and typed the normal link into my computer. Sure enough, it is the same one... I love it!!!

P.S. "Boom" was actually making the contact on that video (he told me) :-)

  5. I was stationed at Hill (way up North) and loved it. We used to head down to St Geroge for the local drag races on the weekends and it is a great place if you do not mind a small town becoming huge. If it was me I would head to Kanab, the scenery is beautiful and it is not becoming a big city...

  6. If you decide to buy one at Nellis, I suggest you pay a visit to twice nice hobbies on Tropicana Rd. The owner (Denny) is an ex KC-135 dude and if you tell him you are military he will give you 40-50% off on the spot. He has a crap load of airplanes as well. I just bought an A-7 Cosair jet that has been out of production for 20 years and he had it...

  7. I have been flying R/C airplanes for over 20 years, and can tell you that if you have never flown than yes it is to much airplane. I had that particular P-51 and it is very scale like. That being said Horizon Hobby has a gas powered trainer P-51 for $119 that I taught someone to fly and he was on his own in less that 5 flights... It looks easy, but I can tell you that I love nothing more than handing my transmitter to one of our pilots that says "if I can fly the real thing than this "toy" is easy", just to watch them get it inverted and I have to save it. Granted I would never hand him my $$$ Tubine powered F-16, but anthing else is a riot. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.

    Just my .02

  8. What is going on? I hear everything goes in 3's, but to this point we have 5 aircraft and 4 lives lost in 24 hours? Today Jim Leroy passed on while performing at dayton.

    He will be missed...

  9. Today was a bad day for 2 ships . The Mustangs mentioned above and the choppers in Phoenix. Jim Cox from the Channel 3 chopper was a friend of mine from the days I was stationed at Luke. He loved flying helicopters...

We both used to hang out at the drag races in our off time. RIP buddy...
