So my roomate and I were just flipping through the tv stations when we came across "The Price is Right"...so we kept watching and low and behold...a kid gets picked up to be able to bid (one of the contestants). Now this wouldnt be so bad..but this kid was in his full rotc uniform with cadet wings. WTF. I have seen marines on there and that is fine with me because they have probably just returned from combat..what has this rotc kid done so far? Fend off the Taliban on campus? hah. Now before I get flamed..I'm in ROTC myself, but i'm sorry I would never do a toolish thing like wearing my rotc uniform on national television. Brandy, My cadre has done nothing short of going out of their way to help me..at the end of the day they are still comissioning an officer and we are all on the same side. However, with that said..going into the ANG and trying to do things is a rough route..it is on your back to get a unit to sponsor you and you will do all of the work.

well i'm living proof of it! ha..its no myth..it can happen..just not many people know about it.

I'm in AFROTC right now, commissioning here in august when I grad and i'm headed into the the ANG directly..currently applying to many units for a flying slot. All FY05 guys had the option to do it. [ 02. June 2005, 12:08: Message edited by: Aurora85 ]
