How does one access such a list on vPC or MyPers. I don’t see it on the PSDM page.

It would appear on the outside (without any further words on this matter other than an article) that the AF is taking the school slots that used to be awarded to the top ~15% or so of each year group promo board and adding them to the pot for the 1st-3rd looks. Last year I think there were around 350 school selects off the board. So wing commanders "should" be pushing more people for school on their looks. Now whether they are selected is a whole different argument and problem. What does this mean for the 08' year group I'm not sure. I could see this going two ways though. Wing/CC's could take advantage of this and push more 3rd look guys with the hope of getting them school or on the flip side push the top candidates regardless of look number or a combo of both.

What they fail to mention is that all Majors from now on will do 100% ACSC by correspondence! (Except those that wait and hold out for in res).

This essentially gives Wing Commanders more control over who goes or is at least pushed for school and potentially more slots since those that were awarded off the board are now absorbed by the 3849 process. Should be interesting to see how this plays out. But definitely skeptical as to how the numbers pan out across the career fields and Wings.

At this rate people will pin on before the results even come out.

What could go wrong?

Can we safely say that there is a high probability of finding out tomorrow or the next day? Or will AFPC try to surprise us with yet another standard delay.

I wonder what this means for IDE by correspondence.

It will be interesting to see the AFSC's that make up the list of IDE selects this board.

If the Public Release is "Tuesday", doesn't leadership typically notify the members early for that surprise effect. If not, people would just find out by hitting up MyPers for the list when it's released to the general public.

Aren't the next wave of PRF's due soon? Not at work or I'd look up the timeline on mypers. Which would mean AFPC needs to hurry (assuming they have it by now) so commanders know who needs a PRF written.

Is today the day for the O-4 promotion results and after what time are notifications typically allowed?

At this point I don't expect to hear anything until July 5th or later.

My Pred FTU class had 3 C-17 pilots, a PC-12 pilot, a C-130 Pilot, a T-6 IP (former KC-135 pilot) and no UPT grads. I went through earlier this year...

The 20th is doing a 6 on / 3 off (8 hour shifts) and thats 7-8 hours a day flying with an hour break plus any admin stuff that needs to be taken care of afterwards (your looking at 10-12 hours a day with an office job plus flying). Rotate shifts every 6 weeks.

Initial FCIIU DQ'ed April 26, 2012 at MFS for excessive astigmatism. Waiver sent up 30 April, approved 7 May with an expiration of 2015. So a waiver will need to be redone every 3 years during that annual optometry exam (I'm guessing it will be a more in depth exam every 3 years to renew the waiver).

I just got back from MFS yesterday and was DQ'd for my IFC IIU physical with a waiver being routed. It was for excessive astigmatism, passed all other tests and had to run through the gauntlet of eye tests to gather data for the waiver to show that my eyes are not going to get worse, etc. The max is 3.00 for astigmatism for a class IIU and I have 3.75 and 3.50. Hoping for a quick turn around as I am going to IFS next month, but the people at ACS said that if they thought I was not going to get a waiver approved they would have called AFPC to hold my training until my medical was resolved and they would have kept me at MFS, but they released me with my form 600 and in the comments section it says I was DQ'd but corrective lenses required while performing RPA duties...Has anyone seen excessive astigmatism waived? EDIT: I read through the Air Force Waiver Guide which was updated on 27 Apr 2012 and based on the information in the guide, there should be no reason why a waiver should not be approved based on the numbers and the optometrist's recommendation from ACS. Smokey, I emailed the registrar and have been trying to call as well to find out if me and a co-worker need to bring our flight records from our base HARM office. I don't see why IFS needs to see them, but our HARM office was wanting to know if they need to sign them out to us.

Training RIP says I start 31 May. Not sure the class number though. In preparation for IFS, I'm trying to solo before I head down (my CC recommended it), got the BF/OL memorized, have read through the local operating procedures a few times, and looked over the DA-20 C-1 model Aircraft systems. I may be paranoid or possibly concerned after reading through the posts but I believe mission success starts with proper mission planning and I have seen things go very wrong when you don't...I want to ensure I step out the door as prepared as I can be within my control. Other than that I'll show up ready to learn, help others where I can, and give it my all.
