Anyone have any recent info on this thread. I'm graduating in May and headed to UPT. Wondering if anyone that has done the program has any input on what happens to your dates for UPT and if it is really a full year assignment.
  2. You also need to realize that ROTC has changed the way scholarships are being given out. In the past they gave a vast majority of scholarships to those right out of college, but as of this year that has changed. ROTC now gives out more scholarships to cadets who have proven themselves in their first year. ROTC wants cadets to prove that they have what it takes to be a good cadet and student. As for Tech V. Non Tech go what everyone has said, pick a major that interests you and get a great GPA and then if you don't get a scholarship out of high school you may have a shot your 100 or 200 year.
  3. ROTC takes all classes into account. At my school if you get a D and retake the class they will account for both grades in your overall GPA.
  4. That is what I saw for just Pilots, but for Nav I was told that pretty much everyone was getting it.
  5. ROTC selection rate for Pilot this year was over 70%, that being said it will go year by year. You would still have to get a Field Training Slot for ROTC (and do 2 more years in the program) which was more competitive this year than a Pilot Slot.
