  1. I'm gonna second the Frank's Red Hot method! I was making popcorn a few days ago and spotted a bottle sitting on the bar so I added a generous amount to the cup of jalapeños out of curiosity; it turned out awesome so how we're doing it for every batch. Bacon is definitely next on the to do list.

  2. If you're on Facebook check out the 71 STURON Spouses page for a start. Otherwise try to get together with the other spouses/girlfriends of the guys in your dude's class. We have a bunch of married guys in my class and all the wives hang out together. Then again some classes have very few married dudes and their wives have no one to hang out with... So they hang out with our class spouses as well

  3. Another push for http://www.snackostuff.com/ ....it's owned/operated by an F-15E WSO....they only hiring military dependents...products are good quality too.

Turn around time is also nice: As a mayor, I would order 24 nametags (B-course naming) on a Monday afternoon, and I could pick them up Friday morning....Mardon would never achieve that!

    Cheers,

My UPT class ordered our nametags through these guys and they were friendly, fast, and cheap! I'd definitely use them again

  4. Rumor mill today (at a certain airplane factory up Nort') was that they had GoPro footage, but were holding out until they had enough 0's in the purchase price.  I guess this confirms that!  N

Edited to add that link below now contains video as well.

Wow! That is nuts. The dude hanging on the wing strut was lucky not to get squished between the two airplanes!

  5. Fast forward 10 years after green lighting the program.

Aircraft still not in production, costs 4 times what it was supposed to, was delayed over and over again to add something new, and when we try to kill it the company sues.

Dudes are spending 10+ years building that thing and spending way more than they originally intended all over the world already. Sounds like a no brainer!

  6. When Verizon had unlimited data it didn't matter because you could select roaming data and it didn't make a difference on your bill. Now with the data caps I don't know how it works.

It's still that way; they don't charge me any extra even though my phone says 'roaming' all the time. I just lose service periodically throughout the day as my phone constantly tries to find a Verizon tower to talk to. I think it makes my battery run out faster than normal too.

It's not that big of a deal so I will just put up with it while I'm here but if I was a brand new customer I'd probably look at other providers!

  7. Here's what they do at Vance now:

You get one minute for each exercise, and theoretically one minute of rest between each. The exercises (and min reps):

40 crunches with your feet up on a couch

    40 air squats

40 lunges (20 per leg and you can switch legs each rep or do 20 and 20, however you want)

40 side crunches (lay down and put your right ankle on your left knee, then put your hands behind your head and bring your left elbow to your right knee, and vice versa) (20 per side)

    10 burpees

5 pullups (with your palms away from you)

Also, it's pretty unclear what the requirements really are. In T-6's you do not have to pass; if you fail any component they just give you a workout plan. They said if you track T-38's you just have to improve on your previous score. So I'm not really sure when or if you ever really have to actually pass.

It's pretty easy anyway though... The only area anyone really had trouble with was pullups cause some dudes just don't do pullups I guess.

  8. I got a call from the movers on the day my stuff was supposed to be delivered, asking "Where are you moving to and when are you arriving there?"

I had only been sleeping on a cot waiting for my shit to arrive for about three weeks!

  9. Did you feel that there was a socialist/progressive 'propaganda' message in the movie (ie worse than the usual that comes out in movies)?

Not really; too busy marveling at the spectacular cranium-explosions
