Absolutely! Doc should try you on it for about a week, ensure its working and you aren't having side effects, then get you a waiver.

Thread revival!!!!! I guess I should clarify that this would be for an initial FC-1. I am taking Omeprazole as needed (PNR ?). I'm starting to get nervous because I completed my physical at the base in Oct and have yet to hear anything back. I call medical about twice a month and get the same answer you medical will take longer beacause you need a waiver. Just wondering if I should be calling someone else?

ahh...that does open a can of worms. They will be concerned about what the underlying condition is which causes a young pilot candidate to already need medication for stomach problems. I'd keep up w/ your every two week calling.
