Guest CGPILOT
Ladies and Gents, I am looking for any Central America base info. We are floating down here and I am looking for somewhere to bingo to should we need maintenance. I have Mantas website but do we(USA) have anything in Hondo or El Sal? I sure miss Howard! Thanks for any help.
Guest joey19
Go to the JIATF-S or the SOUTHCOM website. They'll have some info about some of the "bases" down there.

jumangio
If you are looking for a place to drop into as a backup, I recommend Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras. The American run base is self-sustaining and the weather is traditionally nice. Every Thursday they open up the officer's club to the local women and whew, what a blast that is! They put you up in a "hooch" which is quite comfortable. If you need more gouge, let me know.
Guest SpectrePilot
Guayaquil should still have a station manager, as does Bogota and Lima. The latter has plenty of rampspace and probably the best short notice support. Soto Cano is definitely a good plan, but is a bit far north for some situations. Doesn't the IFR supp have any contact numbers for support at those airports?
