I always kind of hoped they would do an aviation type mini-series based on "The Wild Blue" or something like that, but shedding some light on the campaign in the pacific will be cool.

"The Pacific" shares two of the same writers (of seven) and two directors (of eight) from Band of Brothers. With Spielberg and Hanks as the executive producers, this should be an incredible mini series.

They are keeping this locked up pretty good right now. I did some searching, and didn't find much more than what B52Gator posted. March is the target release date.
