I have a hydrocele that I was DQed and waived for about 2 years or so ago. I had surgery to remove it but the doc failed to do so, stating that he couldn't find it when he went in (very painful!).

I was thinking about getting surgery to remove it (again!!!). The trouble is that I can't get an answer about it DQing me on my FC1 (either by having surgery or keeping the hydrocele). I am going to Brooks in February and am torn about getting surgery (should I wait to be on AD to have the AF pay for it?). What should I do?

Thanks for the help...

A "hydrocele" is not DQing if it is asymptomatic...the same with a varicocele on the left hand side. A right varicocele is dqing and it goes from there as to waiverability

Any word if surgery 6 months from my FCI date is DQing?

Tollfree,

If you don't mind my asking, how long did the incisions take to heal? A good friend of mine just had the procedure done and he is having trouble controlling the bleeding. This is all coming from him, mind you.

Thanks

It was a few weeks. Mainly the part that sucked is that it basically felt like the cut me open, kicked me in the junk about 10 times and sewed me up. I didn't have any bad trouble with bleeding, but it still took a few weeks for the incisions to close up. I feel his pain...
