New PSDM out on strats. The only way to get a good strat now is to be an exec. Everyone else is a denominator for the exec, but small enough they can’t get a strat.
What in the fresh hell is this? Dug out my card reader to look at the PSDM.
That's it, I am longing for the old system now.

Ref: The Air Guardsmen...
Anyone want to take bets if his home unit still has his signed NDA on file? That'd be the first document I'd be asking for as defense counsel.

I’m guess I’m just a knuckle dragger, but can someone break down why this is a good thing? Feels like change for changes sake.
Dawg,
Here's my take--this no shit goes a long way to end speeding on stratification. The question is can we (the member or the organization..you decide) handle that level of honesty?
What remains to be seen, is there a sweet spot for PCSes? Is there now a dead spot in the calendar where you don't want to move? I dunno, but I am sure these are issues that will become clear once we go through the beta test.

Officials confused by unexpected religious accommodation requests
By Pseudonym
WASHINGTON – On deep background, defense officials shared with media outlets a mounting confusion and frustration between commanders and servicemembers sending up seemingly disingenuous religious accommodation requests to opt out of current COVID-19 vaccination requirements.
“I don’t want to put the department in a position to judge the validity of anyone’s sincerely held beliefs,” said General Max Power. “But to be candid, we are getting backchannel communications that are making us wonder if we are being deceived.”
The generalized concern has been repeated in various branches within the Department of Defense.
“We were all surprised when Lance Corporal Williams told the Master Guns he wasn’t taking the shot since fetal tissue was used in its development,” Said Capt Williams, 15th Infantry Regiment, MCRD Parris Island, SC. “My Marines were telling me all sorts of rumors, but basically they were calling him out.”
“Let’s be clear,” said Master Gunnery Sergeant Tatum. “Not only does Williams not have a moral concern about fetal tissue, he talked his last three girlfriends into abortions—I’m sorry to say that last point has gotten him the nickname ‘ace’ in the barracks”.
It’s not just the Marine Corps that are facing issues with members with seemingly incongruent values.
“Me and the Vice were puzzled when Major Smith told us his religious concern about the sanctity of life and told us ‘whoever sheds blood, shall their blood be shed’,” said Colonel Jazz Morison. “Just the other day Smith was putting together his Air Medal package with an impressive EKIA count, not to mention his master’s paper at the Weapons Instructor Course was labeled ‘What to do when you accidentally strafe the Kabul Girl’s Checkers Club tournament’, which frankly is an oddly specific issue to be writing on—but shit, the investigation cleared him.”
In other branches some troops are noticing previously agnostic or atheist members are finding new beliefs in faith.
"So last year my supervisor was all insistent that we call the Christmas party a Holiday party, and was all like super woke’" said Staff Sgt Meyers on a twitter post. "Fast forward to late November and we are all getting the shot, then this punk is wearing WWJD bracelets to work and demanding prayer breaks and telling me I should not reenlist so I can start a traditional family.”

A successful outcome means they can’t continue to the stoke the fires of division and hatred. That’s why they have to throw gems like this into their articles about the case:

Gotta keep the systemic racism lies and hatred juice flowin.
To your point… just checked the Census stats. Kenosha is 79% White, so the jury was a statistical reflection of the community.
All that to say your excerpt from reporting just shows the media is a malignant tumor on this nation’s ass

Repeat felon that got out days ago on $1,000 cash bail for charges including reckless endangerment, domestic abuse, resisting arrest, and bail jumping.
Previous arrests include a felon in possession of a firearm.
Lately there seem to be more and more stories of felons nabbed with a gun that should be doing time, but instead are victimizing the public.
It is a shame we can't have Project Exile 2.0--for those who don't know, in the 90s the US Attorney's office teamed up with local officials in Richmond VA. Long story made short, if you were a criminal in possession of a gun, it was pretty much assured you were getting at least 5 years in a federal pen.

You can google for the answers of why the return of such a hard-nosed policy is highly unlikely.

Let's put it this way. CCs didn't do enough when evidence was legitimate because they aren't lawyers. JAG is like the Hobby Lobby of attorneys.
Then you have that case where the pilot who is a Lot Col has a GO step in and save him from his sexual assault allegations. Then big blue sends him to the same base as his accuser or where her family is located. This is why the hammer has come down. Everyone is guilty....
You forgot the part where people claimed the convicted was morally impeccable...while having a previously undisclosed love child.

So now USAA is getting out of the investment business. I received notification they all of my investment accounts have been switched to Schwab and Victory Capital. The whole reason I started a Roth IRA and some college IRAs is so that they’re all consolidated. I guess that’s not the case anymore.
No more investments, high insurance rates and high loan rates; USAA is really starting to suck!Truth!
I really should get off my ass and transfer everything to Vanguard, folks seem to have good things to say about that company.

Nothing is a bigger kick in the morale junk than to be extended at the last minute. Sorry, dudes/dudettes.The BUFF guys in Guam had already been extended three months before this newest order came down.
My knowledge of 36-2110 is rusty but I’m hoping those dudes/dudettes got short tour credit for that.
might not help you when you are in an ops sq, but could prove useful down the road in your career

I was never more ashamed of being a member of the Air Force than the day I heard that news.
As for Flash’s case, I’m wondering what was done to help him while all of this craziness was going on with his wife. He was at Creech for an extremely long time, maybe PCS orders and some one-on-one counseling about the benefits of leaving said stripper behind in Vegas could have helped. The best thing to do for all involved would be to learn from it and better heed the warning signs in the future. It’s just plain sad.

I am honestly amazed to this day, that SECAF/CSAF weren't asked for their resignations on that awful day.

I didn’t think that was possible
I worked at AFPC and it is very possible. Your SR is given instructions on how to extend (or not extend) continuation.
If a SR elects to deny continuation it's seen as an adverse action (no kidding). I forget what justifications need to be made, but I remember calling a passed over Major and pleading with him to do a mea culpa to his SR...the O-4 had stepped on his crank in a colossal manner and didn't fully realize how much he had poisoned the well.

If the last look population is growing, do we think over time as these officers enter the mix it'll do anything to help temper expectations on how fast a career should progress?
Wishful thinking I know, maybe I am hoping for an unintended positive consequence of this change

"... I want them to have the opportunity to learn from them without being under public scrutiny..."
With all due respect to the good Colonel. When you volunteer for a high-visibility position, you agree to become a public figure. Don't step on stage if you can't handle the lights.
The non-disclosure of her removal raises more questions than anything else.

I remember I just about fell out of my chair when I read this piece of actual journalism from a large outlet. It's the only instance of honest discussion I can find when discussing the proliferation of trans issues.
It really shows how much of a bind a person can be in, if they've bought the propaganda, made the transition only to learn virtue signaling physicians permanently altered they body into a shoddy copy of something they'll never truly be.
I have to chuckle when folks assume the absolute inviolability of the trans identity. It's like these same folks can't fathom that yes, some young people dabble in things, and sometimes dabble right back out (are we still allowed to call temporary college lesbians 'four year queers'?)
