Active Duty guy applying to the Guard and Reserves... When squadrons hire, do they also pull info like Career Data Briefs/SURFs or they solely just look at application required documents (cover letter, resume, OPBs, Letters of rec, etc.)?

Is it only SRs with notification? Or both SR and CC?

I checked myfss chatter, nothing is on there

I read somewhere commanders are notified 3 days prior, so if it’s this Friday, they’d know by end of day today?! Fingers crossed.

Just got done with SOS, my pilot buddies were telling me once T1s are completely phased out heavies and tankers are going straight to their FTU after T6s. b52s are still under T38 track… but mind you there was a memo published few months ago that is voluntary/involuntarily letting t38 students track heavies/tankers.

Gotta love Air Force politics… I bet that’s how these dudes with 30 pcsms get selected. Yes I’m salty lol

The fact that it takes this long, I’m sure there is some deviation.

Iast year I applied with 98 pilot / 96 PCSM / 72 cso / 73 ABM / 29 aa / 33 verbal / 32 quantitative and didn’t get picked up. Non rated with average record. There was a person last year who got selected with 34 PCSM, that stung but good for them. I hope they become a flag officer one day lol. Otter, I think what’s gonna hurt you the most is that MQ-9s are gonna be around for while, tough to let someone cross flow with as much experience as you got under your belt. We gotta shoot our shot tho! Good luck everyone

Check out the Bogidope website. This is an active duty board, so our process is different from ANG/AGR. Solid scores though - PPL holds a lot of weight for Guard/Reserve. Good luck to you!

Anybody got the statistics for 2016-2017? Was that the year we had like 100+ pilot selects?

Hot take: Wonder if Donald Trump winning the election has an impact on number of pilot slots this year… when he won his first election ROTC field training numbers skyrocketed.
