  1. Anybody know how it works to get their dates pushed to the right? I've received UPT RIPs and vmpf notification, but we're expecting a child around the time I'm supposed to PCS and class up. I told AFPC a month ago and my commander is looking into it but so far it's all fallen on deaf ears
I imagine you simply need to speak to your bases assignment team at MPF to extend your RNLTD. I did that back in 2012 once and it didn't seem too threatening.

  2. I feel this. I almost replied to the contact lens email just to make sure they weren’t waiting on my response even though they said positive responses only.

After I get medically cleared they can take as long as they need on everything else. I just want that warm and fuzzy that I don’t have some random eye issue that was missed.
I'm literally right there with you

  3. I reached out to AFPC regarding when we can expect our date and location notifications,
"Due to 19AF resets of training programs all training scheduling is on standby and no UPT training is expected to be added until March timeframe.  RNLTD is normally 30-45 days prior to Class Start Date. And RIP pis expected 1-2 months prior to RNLTD.  You could be scheduled anytime throughout the year.  If you have not heard anything by end of March get back to us and we’ll ask schedulers for anticipated training dates and location.  Too soon right now."
So, we might be waiting a little while.
Wonder how this affects MFS and IFT too?

  4. When do you guys think they'll let us know where and when we are leaving? I did the EFMP and CDB trick but it's too early to have an assignment yet I suppose!
So doing the overanalytical investigation that we all like to do, I looked at last year's group on here and saw some people getting notified 17 days after they were notified of selection by commander. So roughly 10 days following the PSDM went public. Gotta give people their 7 days to decline assignment and alternates to get notified. Rough guess.

  5. Last year notification to MPF’s was 2nd Tuesday of Jan and people knew on the 11th

since nobody has heard anything yet I imagine results likely won’t be released to MPFs until next Tuesday the 16th with public notification the 23rd
Is there a reason some people are hung up on it being a Tuesday that results are gunna come out? I'm just wondering if there's a reason it couldn't simply be later this week that they send MPFs emails with the results.

  6. I’m stuck in the weird dance where I’m checking the forum 29 times a day, and making myself overly accessible to my CC.

    Keep hope!

How is everyone dealing with their nerves day to day?
I've done this song and dance enough times where I'm anxious to find out results of something, they don't come when I expect them to, I get exhausted from the anxiousness, so I sorta pretend like I'm not waiting on anything lol. I'm confident my CC will call me the moment he finds out. They're almost as excited as I am

  7. Yep. They stated that all genders and races were not equally represented in previous boards and blamed the process for that. I’m not sure of the changes, but it was just something he had said during his brief.
I didn't see a spot on the AF215 that declared gender or race. Not that they couldn't get that from their sources, and while I understand the "diversity" argument, I truly hope they aren't reverting to choosing a member over someone else to satisfy the "diversity" conversation instead of the "merit" conversation. Thumbs down

  8. By not getting picked up AD, thus incurring another 10 yrs AD.  Go guard…it’s way better.  I didn’t think that would require much elaboration.
I was initially confused as well, but I see your point. However, I myself looked deeply into going guard, and getting in the door feels much more difficult than it is for active. I'm roughly 32, and live next to a C130 guard unit, but have no desire to fly them and knew what i was getting into with the 10 year commitment when applying this way. There is a laundry list of obstacles required to go guard, especially to a unit not local. But if the stars aligned just right for the right people, I'd understand. But I think everyone on this chat is looking forward to good news about getting picked up for active duty. Not sure if "Lucky" is the right word, but I see what you were aiming at.
