Is there a written rule somewhere about the Capt+ being able to go straight off base? Everything I’ve read is if you’re “single” you can be on the hook for on base.
I guess it depends on the base. But only single, first assignment officers should have to stay on base. Confirmed on Sheppard's housing website.

MFS takeaways:
- Lyft/Uber/Cabs can get on base from the airport.
- When you show up o/a 0730, they do basic height, weight, sitting measurements. Super quick and easy.
- Then until lunch, about 1100, they pull people back for vision tests 2-3 at a time. So there is a lot of waiting around and BSing. If you didn't eat or get coffee earlier, there is a coffee/food place upstairs. They do distance, color (with the "C" that rotates 90 degrees), and pictures of your eyes.
- Lunch is about an hour. Like I said earlier, food is in the building so if you don't have a rental, don't sweat it.
- After lunch are brutally long 2x personality, 2x cognitive tests on the computer. Not difficult for the most part, just time-consuming.
- A few of us had to extra eye tests; specifically, I had to do a visual spatial test to test functionality of something that looked "weird" in the scans.
BL: Pretty low-key and they are all super nice.

According to AFPC I have a 17 March IFT start date but I haven’t received my RIP yet.
Get with formal training (FSS/FSDE) and request it. It might be loaded, they just haven't sent it to you.
Update: I asked AFPC and they said the CGD is 20 Apr for a 17 Mar CSD. Not sure why all the RIPs are wrong, but it is definitely making travel and work planning more difficult.

Anybody with a 17 Mar IFT start date? I got the RIP yesterday but it says 9 May CGD. That can't be right, it should be April sometime.
-
Anyone going to MFS 10 Mar? I will be landing at DAY @ 1341 on 9 Mar and will have a rental car. Just throwing it out there if anyone wants a ride.

Still no joy on the assignment doing the EFMP trick…showing I don’t have an assignment. Also did those of you going to MFS get an email with any guidance on what LOA to use in DTS? So far all I’ve been sent is the MFS forms/questionnaire/Covid protocol.
What forms/questionnaire/Covid protocol did you get? I have only gotten the DTS LOA instructions. Mind forwarding the forms you received to me?

I did a PCR at MFS and got my results before the end of day… I don’t know if they would for leaving the MFS.
Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile appWho did you coord through to get the PCR at MFS?

Anybody else required to have a PCR test on their way back after MFS? I have an RFI out to see if Wright Patt offers rapid PCR tests or I would have to go off base. If anyone has any gouge, please let me know.

Has anyone with a DEROS received UPT dates or an assignment yet? I'm curious if I should anticipate it getting curtailed or if I'll have to wait until summer 2023 for a PCS...
I reached out to AFPC because I have a DEROS this May. Recommend you do the same if your DEROS is soon. He told me that I have IFT in April and start ENJJPT in Sep. Also, he said they are not doing IFT enroute anymore because people have washed out and then been in a PCS holding pattern...

How responsive was AFPC when you emailed their workflow?

I wish the EFMP trick would work for me! Still showing my old projected assignment. Here’s to hoping we all find out soon!

I wonder how they are deciding on the order of putting people in slots. I have a May DEROS and assignment still in the system, which I though would have been turned off soon after announcement. One reason because then my functional can find a replacement sooner than later.
-
I recommend everyone check their CDB often. I orginally had a 17 Mar MFS and completed the training RIP. Today I am now showing a 10 Mar MFS date.

I wouldn't be shocked if they still send you to WP knowing Big Blue. Reason being, they want to ensure that folks are fully medically qualified before PCsing them.
You aren’t wrong! I have a 17 Mar MFS date. 1 day TDY from Korea. Definitely gonna have to do some LICWO.. 😂

I wonder how it will work with a DEROS. I can’t imagine they would send (me in particular) to MFS for a day and then back to Korea. Especially with all the COVID and PCR test requirements, not to mention dateline travel/jet lag. Hoping they just send those of us overseas to our UPT base for casual status and then to subsequent MFS & IFT as needed.

On the psdm it mentions that candidates will be notified by FSS and have 7 days to accept or decline. Has anyone been notified?
The PSDM say "should" not "will" be notified. Either way doesn't matter, your 7 days starts on public release and everyone has until COB 25 Jan to decline (further down it say you do not need to notify AFPC if you are accepting).

I got selected for ENJJPT! Luckily, I am on the other side of the dateline where my SR/FSS had more time to push it out....

I bet CC notification early next week (11th is my bet) with the PSDM being posted the 7 days after.
If anyone has a contact at their MPF/MPS, that is who gets it first. They then push it out to the Senior Raters for notification.I’m exec-ing for a 3 star senior rater…nothing has come through the wickets yet.

Same type of test with same color schemes that get progressively more difficult. Just instead of looking for letters, you have to pick where the opening of the C is facing.
